regarding the watch, I really am interested but would like to know more about this history. If it was not your originally, you may know know the answers: 1) why is the back of the watch so scarred & scratched. 2)why are serial numbers worn but Happy Sport is not? Also, did you have the watch insured? Please share your insight.

@salesiav I will be very upfront. I bought 2 watches at almost the same time from RealReal about 4 years ago. One was a Cartier and this was the other one. The Cartier I love because i use everyday. I bought the chopard because the diamonds fascinated me. But I didn’t find it practical to have those diamonds because I also have the Cartier screw bangle which I wear daily. It was just a good match with my Cartier.

As for the scratches, I think those are magnified by the camera. Its really not that bad and noticeable in person. The serial numbers are not faded at all but they are microscopic in size that’s why they are so minute as compared to the “Happy Sport” sign which is about 75% bigger.

Part 3: As for insurance, I don’t have it. I store all my valuables in my safety box in the bank. I only took it out a month ago because I wanted to resell since I hardly use it. I wore it maybe twice since I bought it. I had the watch serviced and cleaned at my jeweler’s for $350. The battery was replaced and since its a luxury watch, I paid $100 for battery alone.

Part 4: As I mentioned before, I can always bring this back to RealReal to sell for me. But i would rather sell it myself and not do consignment. I paid more than $2500 including taxes and everything. I’ll try to see if I have records but I can’t promise since I am bad at record keeping. fYI.
