Hi! I'm Teresa. Some of my favorite brands are Michael Kors, Gucci, Kim Rogers, and Coach. I absolutely love Carol Dauplaise! She is my favorite jewelry designer. I love music & cooking. I can not get enough cookbooks. I am an avid lover of vintage Tupperware.
A few years back I lost all my earthly possessions. It was the worst heartache I ever experienced. I have learned life will always hand you a bunch of lemons. Turning those lemons into lemonade, will go a long way determining how you overcome your trials.
Thanks to the internet and places like Poshmark and other sales platforms...our lives can be restored. I have found countless items I thought I would never see again. I can't afford to get everything; nor do I have the space to...since I am now living in a senior facility. I get excited when I get back some of my favorites. Every time I find something I once owned, it is like a little piece of my life is being restored.
My biggest pet peeve is when people are so quick to judge others without looking at the entire picture. We never know what is going on in someone's life...and we need to give them grace, instead of jumping the gun and taking action that can bring someone harm.
I have to deal with many health issues. My biggest one is heart failure. But I keep plugging away and doing what I can to keep myself alive as long as possible. Despite the ugliness of the world...everyday I feel it, it reminds me that I am still alive and have a lot to be grateful for.

Hey great to see you here. .Poshmark let me know that you came over from one of the social media accounts we share. I don't use the same name on any social media but wanted to make sure that you were welcomed and offer to help if you need any questions answered. If I know what you like I can recommend a couple of great closets (maybe) . If you received a credit of 10 often Posh will offer lowered or even free shipping. Look for items you like in search and look for recently reduced prices. :)

@maximumfashion I appreciate the welcome. However, even though I found several things to purchase, I am going broke paying for all the high priced shipping on $5 items. I don't other things the sellers are selling that I want. I wished there was a reasonable shipment. I only received on offer for free shipping. If I did this on the smaller items, the sellers would go in the whole. Anyway... Maybe I will get the hang of things. I don't understand all the follows when I am not selling anything.

@teresa_trotter I think POSH might offer first time lower ship. Often on weekends PM has a closet clear out where sellers lower prices and PM picks up a couple of bucks of the shippcosts. I just spent $9 EXTRA mailing a set of glasses - buyer ONLY EVER $7.45 at most. I had post office check and if it was not PM the total mailing costs would have been $58 ... I about fell over. If a seller does offer free its worth it 4them. Let me know if I can help. followers are 4 attention i think

@maximumfashion I am liking what I see here. I found a vest by Northern Reflections that I used to love to wear . When I lost all my earthly possessions I thought I would never see that stuff again since those items are no longer in production. But thanks to the internet almost anything is possible these days. I have found a lot of Carol Dauplaise earrings that I like. Odd thing is they don't have it as a brand name in the sellers listing titles on the left, so it would be easier to look up.

@teresa_trotter not sure about missing posts. Cool you found a vest. YOu can always make offers to the seller. I have done that some sellers are non responsive but I have had mostly responsive sellers. HMM Carol Dauplaise that is cool . I know that search sometimes brings up more than just the brand name I put in but once I see one I click on it and then look for the blue underlines band name and click for more. You can check seller love notes from about page if in doubt about seller.

or you can look and see 100 love note... that is awesome.. you still get an idea and its impossible to please all people all the time. One thing posh is very good at customer service and items should be as described...

@maximumfashion I saw my profile and it says I am following 150 closets. I never followed anyone. I don't understand unless they count a view of a product a follow. There are others that I see no followers. Even the about info that says sellers ship within one day has gone past that... I know they have up to five days to send the item. But if it says one day it goes past that...than this is not correct info. I am not sure I like this arrangement. How do we contact administration?

Not offences taken here.. I see a post I missed. About counteroffers. some sellers either see or don't' respond (why?) ... No caps on offers except as a seller if I send more than a few bundle offers without response from buyer - i can't send another. AS a buyer you should for sure be able to counter offer without restriction. Most sellers consider it lowballing if an offer is under 50%. When countering offers any ship discount disappears (headsup) . A good offer is usually 10-20% off. :

Except if item is already 10 to 15 buck items because of the 20% seller fee plus cost of item. . After a while it won't be confusing at all... you will be writing a book!!!! :)

@maximumfashion I try to be fair. I know that sellers need to make some kind of profit. I used to sell on e B a y for years, so I understand. However, one seller seems to be selling all their items way over priced, so I had no problem asking for a little bit more of a discount. Surprising they accepted. I have got so many packages coming in...the various mail carriers are going to wonder if I have gone nuts or something. LOL

@maximumfashion Since I do not sell here, does Poshmark send reminders to the sellers about shipping something out? I purchased something from a seller who has a history of getting their items out in one day, and it has been almost three. I know things come up. I however really want these earrings. I once owned them, so I really would like to get these.

@teresa_trotter yes i think at day four or five. deprnds on if weekend in there. . allni can say is if she or he normally ships one day then that is promising. i sold on other platform too. but i love the less stress. it sucks on earrings ....hope it is just postal just updating (has happened to me ) hang in! i hope you sucessfully get them!

@maximumfashion Are we allowed to ask the seller when they will ship our items? I have found that two of the sellers who were my first purchases on day one of my shopping experience here, have not shipped their items. Even my last purchase of yesterday has already shipped their items. The sad part...those items are amongst my favorite ones. I hope they ship soon. I know negative comments are not seen by the public, but I will make mention I was not crazy about the slow shipping.

I would look on their about page to see when last on app. if someone doesn't have a notice in closet and has been on app I WOULD tag and ask on listing after about 48 hours. Things in life happen. Sometimes scanning by USPS is not done (as seller this drives me nuts ) Some sellers won't know that something hasn't scanned. IF THEY DON"T respond then on day 7 I think it is you can cancel sale and I would. SUCKS that it happened on the stuff you wanted most.

I think once people have been burned by a seller the ask questions on next purchases before hand just to see if seller communicates. I don't buy much but when I want something I usually just buy out right. ON last item I asked a couple questions and the seller is one of my fav poshers now. NO worries... you can leave a message on the listing page itself ... type @ and the posh username and that should go into the sellers news feed under comments. After 7 days buyers can cancel. (also first three hours after an order a buyer can cancel) I really feel bad for you. Hopefully the seller will see if they are on frequently. :)

@bellajewels1 Bellajewels1... Just cancel the order there is no downside to you at all. Just cancel the order so that your buyer gets their money back faster. I have had to do that when I lose an item which has happened once. There is no down side for you to cancel the order.

@bellajewels1 I tried to leave a message with you... but teresa is a new posher. and this is kind of a crummy experience for new people to go through. I have lost things before and it is really simple. JUST CLICK ON problems with orders from your sales page and CANCEL ORDER. list reason such as lost or damaged item and BUYER can get a timely refund.. SHE SHOULD NOT HAVE to wait 7 days to request a refund. THere is no downside to you as a seller. I have done it before no problems!!!!!

@maximumfashion If a post has not been updated since January 1st, does this mean the post has been up at least this long or earlier? I asked for a fair price, but was not sure if they would accept it...and they did. There were four other people liking it...but no movement in several days...so I made an offer and they accepted. Also... Nothing on the other seller...so there is a good chance I will have to wait for seven days. What does blocking do other than not letting someone contact you?

@teresa_trotter updated date is last date it was shared. some people relist after a few months so its not a good indicator. fair price i usually find using a tool like the website sellhound or checking poshs sold comps. but in he end if a person finds something they love... if there are no comparables it is just doing a fair price that a person can live with. just like on other selling sites :) in my opinion.

@maximumfashion The administration refuses to help me. The only way I can get my money back sooner is if the seller starts the initiation. This seller knew what she was doing. She could have helped me. I believe in Karma. However, I let the administration know that after my other purchases are finalized and I get my money back from this vulture, I will be closing out my account...and let every social media platform know of my experience. I really appreciate you trying to help me.

@teresa_trotter well seller doesn't get any money until 3 days after you receive item. or if you accept item fro sellervit releases funds early so there is n o motivation.but there are weirdos everwhere. i dont get it . tajes 3 seconds to cancel a sale. i thought maybe she would have done it already. keep eye out as i hope it will be rectified.

one other tjing you probably reme.ver the unpaid seller woes on thevothrr pkatform they aldo had to eventually crackdown on sellers not shipping. i think if a person could cancel sake after three days non shipnitvwould be a fair policy. in this day and age 7 days is too long. 8 have been spoiled by the seller i used gir coffee mugs and the whole prime thing. but inbuy infrequently. also monday is holiday ...no postal!

@maximumfashion You must be tired. Your typing is really bad on this post. I had to try to interpret what you were saying in the last post. This seller has no motivation to help me. You told them yourselves they would not get in trouble, so why in the world would they care when I got my money back? It does not change my mind. I have not been here one week and I have already had a bad experience, so there are probably more sellers like her here, and I won't put myself through that again.

As I said... I believe in Karma. However, I don't have time to have my money tied up in a bunch of products that I won't receive for a while. Because I have to wait until the 8th to ask for the refund, then another several days for it to get back to my card. Which means this could be up to 2 to 3 weeks for me to get my money back every time I have to go through this... I am angry. Very angry. I am done here. Period. I appreciate you trying to help, but I won't let this happen to me again.

@maximumfashion I don't understand. Have you been forbidden to speak to me too? I did nothing to this posher but said I was upset for not getting my refund, felt confused, and wanted to leave. Before I knew it...they blocked me. They even live less than 15 minutes away from me. Nevertheless... I will just keep my fingers cross that my stuff will be shipped and I can be gone. This place scares me. It is so unfair, and I may have to call the credit card company to try to get my refund faster.

I will just have to find other posher's that sell in huge lots. No one may not be like this posher. The posher told me they have so much stuff they could give me any lot at any time. But I will never know now. I just want to crawl under a rock. Won't bother you any more. This place was not as a good fit as I thought.

@teresa_trotter whoa maybe reacting because of a bad deal in past and the blocking of communication frustration. we have been communicating so i am not blocked. often away from keyboard..credit card is good idea but not sure how fast that works and what ramifications there are, so cant advise. but there are some great poshmark groups on facebook that have more experience in that arena.

@maximumfashion I have a feeling administration will get rid of me after reading all my conversations. Too scared to look anymore. Don't want to get stuck purchasing then Poshmark closes my account and I can't get my items. This whole thing is all jacked up. The posher did mention that they made bundles for buyers who never purchased, but I don't think they blocked me because of that... I think they were an ambassador and maybe were told to block me.

@maximumfashion I just read some of the community rules. I did not realize that I was asking you to do something you couldn't. My apologies. I think the situation has gone too far. It would be best for me to close out my account once I get my products and refund. It will be awhile to get my refund. The card I used is worse than Poshmark. They take up to 90 days to give back a refund. I told them I will never use their card again. I really enjoyed meeting you. Maybe I will meet you again someday.

@maximumfashion You know. I tried to be positive, and even did a little more shopping...trusting what poshers were telling me about shipping out my items. I am now having trouble with another posher. It has been five days since I have purchased my item. After emailing them, they promised they would have it out this weekend. Then Poshmark sent me a message yesterday, they sent them a reminder. I sent them a reminder, as well. They were on eight hours ago and they never responded to me.

I keep trying to give others chances, and all I have done is get burned here. I am scared about my other purchases. I really am going to have to close my account after all of this. well hear you... .it sucks you had so much so fast. I guess that all the new sellers this last year are not necessarily posh literate! The are supposed to be communicating with the buyer if there is delay... there is even a thing on the ordered delayed button for reporting the order is slower than normal 3 day. PM may need to start enforcing. You gave it a good shot, sad it went south - post office is closed today :) so because of holiday today I am catching up and running errands.

@maximumfashion You know this is the problem. The posher could have communicated the post office was closed today. I had no idea. My two favorite earrings out of everything I purchased was taken away from me by two very cruel people. I don't want to look at this site. I will find both pair of earring again one day. Even if I have to get someone to purchase them for me, and then mail them to me...I will. I have enough friends around the world that would do this for me. I am just so hurt right now

@maximumfashion Sad thing is... I purchased five things from a competitor. All packages were shipped within a couple of hours. I am not the problem. I am very good with follow-up... So it is not harassment. It is doing good business. I will miss talking to you. We might have to talk on Twitter sometimes. LOL

Thank you so much for helping maximumfashion. You helped turn a negative into a positive. The staff let me read what the other posher wrote. Basically she pitched a fit over me asking why it was taking five days and my order still was not shipped. Again... I did nothing wrong. This individual was acting like she was entitled. Like she was better than everyone else. Making remarks that I had issues. I did not deserve those remarks. My guess... This is not the first time she has done this.

@bellajewels1 THANK you glad that I could explain how to do it. I have had to do it sadly when an item broke ( I sell fragiles as well as clothing) or when something showed up that I swear was not there when I stored it for shipping. Hardest thing about posh is that not everyone is on at the same time. I am glad that @teresa_trotter does not have to wait any longer for refund process to start and that at least one of the sellers was able to resolve this. Now its PIZZA time. :)

@teresa_trotter You show up in thei feed and it is way to support you and also hopefuly get you to look at their closet etc. I look at plus side. ... .. If you start selling all those people will see your stuff as it hits the feeds as new item and then as shared item. most are hoping for a return follow, but it is not something that you have to do or anything . I think of it like all social media and just continue doing my thing. :)

@maximumfashion Thanks for the explanation. I look at it as humiliation on a worldwide platform. I don't think I will ever get over what the one posher did to me. In a court of law she would have no leg to stand on when accusing me of harassment. She has no idea what that word means. I will be honest, I am not having pleasant thoughts and sometimes wish the worst on this person. It is just earrings. I am trying to look at it as something good will come out of this that will be far greater.

I want to see if my last offers will be accepted. One I am not sure of... I put it in twice, but the individual has not be active since the end of September. So who knows how long if at all for them to reply to my offer. It will take a few weeks I imagine for everything to get in. Some have shipped quickly. Others are taking their time. I will wait a month for them to ship if I have to... It is something I have come to expect here.

@teresa_trotter oh good you figured it out ... the discount thing! i still love it here even when sales or slow and more when they are steady. . hey i love driving too and while there are nice drivers there are also tons of jerks, dont let them spoil my fun ya know. i watch tons of you tube, there are problem drivers on every site it seems. i hope you love your new items, i may be doing some shopping myself because i hear gift shortages this year because of cargo backlog.

This is why this place is like living in a fairyland. Nothing is realistic. People should get a true experience of what a seller is like. Four stars is not a bad rating. Geez.

@maximumfashion Yes I did... It only says two. Out of 14 sales, I have had only 3 deliveries so far. A couple is due to be delivered today. Two were canceled. One by a seller in which I accepted the apology. The other one I can't even try to make amends because of them blocking me. Like I said...they act like they are entitled. A few of the later sales are done and ready to be sent to the post office. But I do have about three that are boarding on being really late...

@maximumfashion Good question. Get a buyer's point of view. LOL Well... Since it was wrong color, the buyer may not have wanted it. I think waiting three days to cancel, gave the buyer enough time to respond about color. Cancelling first day I think would have been too soon. You don't know if a buyer is working, or busy with family. Maybe an illness and they can't respond. So I definitely would have waited, and it was good that you tagged them. One of my slow sellers finally shipped today.

@maximumfashion Just received two more items. The extra gifts each one of them put in there just made my day. They could have easily sold them. One put a piece of vintage storage Tupperware in one shipment. And the other one added a bracelet with my earrings. The bracelet fit my wrist perfectly. I am going to go broke because of this place. I don't want to stop shopping here. LOL I don't get many surprises from people in my life anymore. Some of these poshers just make me smile! :)

@shit001 Due to my chest...I need an extra large. If it runs really big, I can wear a large. I was one of those girls that did not want a large bustline. It was pretty small until reached my 30's...then all of a sudden they blossomed way larger than I wanted them to... Any similar vests would be fine, and I love Kim Roger shirts, and the vintage Northern Reflection shirts. I like knit pants with elastic waste in a large to extra large. I am looking for mint green, yellow, and purple.

@maximumfashion Yet again...another cancellation. This makes the fifth one within a week. Some are so rude and won't even tell me why. They wait until the fifth day to cancel holding up my credit payment, then I have to wait another two weeks for the refund to clear. It is like a guessing game whether I will get what I ordered. I ordered 10 items on e B a y and I have received everyone of them. This place does not truly represent what the true experience is here for the buyer. So disappointed.

I am not sure how to turn off specifically PM editor as I use that for party notifications. (and a place marker for when I am sharing LOL) .

@maximumfashion FYI - There has been a little restitution from a couple of the sellers for cancelling their orders. One offered me anything in their closet for $2 that is priced under $12. I have not found anything I like, yet. The other offered me a discount, plus a free shirt they would throw in. I found two I liked. I asked for a discount. They accepted. And now they are offering me a choice of three shirts. I requested to see if they could put them online as (not for sale) so I could choose.

I am finding more items to list available now and so maybe they will be able to source more items too. Offering at two dollars is amazing since poshmark charges flat 3 bucks under 15 dollars. @maximumfashion What is the best way to get a case resolved? I bought a dutch oven. The seller did not protect it properly. They but one small piece of thin bubble wrap between the lid and bottom. Then put thin tissue paper around it. It was not stuffed correctly. There was a lot of room to move, so when it arrived the entire dutch oven had huge chips all in it. You can see the pieces inside the box. I could only submit four photos, but I can prove how they shipped it.

@maximumfashion Well... I got the extra shirt from the person who cancelled my order. But one of the ones I ordered came in smaller than what I bought it for... I think they changed to listing to safe face. I mean...They told me they misplaced the shirt, but listed it as damaged. When I questioned it, they did not answer. Now I question the listing now being a size smaller than what I purchased, and they immediately blocked me. This was definitely a shady and dishonest seller.

@maximumfashion As for the return... I sent Poshmark 45 photos. They kept sending me emails they will close out my account if I don't send photos. So I sent them via email, as well as screenshots of all the pics I put up online. I really don't like the business practices here. I have found only one seller i can trust here. This is it. So sad, because there are a lot of great stuff here. I just can't deal with this mess anymore.

They can't change a listing after sale. There is no way to change a listing detail after it is sold. Sellers simply can't do that. mistakes do happen. I dont' understand the photo thing.. .alll photos as far as I know are uploaded directly to the case you open. If they asked for you to email them I am not familiar with that as I have never had to process a return. From everyone I talk to on forums it is easy 1 2 3 process so I can't reallly help on that. :)

@maximumfashion I finally got a resolution about the return. They decided to cancel it. They told me to keep it as a gift, or do what I want with it. They refunded my money, and gave the seller their commission. I really don't want it, because it is chipped badly. I don't know if something like that is repairable and for how much. Or would it be harmful to cook in it with so much chipping. What do you think? Toss or keep?

i dont know what item is. you said dutch oven. some brands like le creuset can have warranties but i have never messed with them. would have to see in person. i would check if lead free (call manufacture) and ask about safety. if lead free and chip not inside i might be tempted. but call manufacturer if possible. at least you got money back so no being locked in to having to keep it. ๐ฏ

@maximumfashion It's been a mix. I had my worst experience from an Posh Ambassador. Took 11 days to ship. Another 3 days to get here. They just threw the shirt in the box with no tissue, or thank you note. They described it as new with tags. It was not new, and it had no tags. The shirt was in great condition and I loved it; so I kept it. First one star rating I have given any seller on any selling platform in my life. The only positive thing about the purchase is that they accepted my offer.

LOL But seriously I tend to go too far overboard. I know there are others like me because they freak over the thought of a rating less than 5 and bend over backwards to make sure customer happy . Last night I came across a review site that had 2540 reviews for Poshmark. 82% were bad reviews giving one star, and some said they would have loved to give negative stars. Only 7% were considered excellent. 3% were good. 3% were average, and 5% were poor ratings. The main complaint is the amount of time it takes for a seller to ship their items, and the hassle Poshmark gives buyers if they need to return something.

One seller had purchased over $500 worth of jewelry. It was shipped but then never got it. Seller was not willing to help. Poshmark just sent those automated messages. The same one I got from them. They ended up giving up. They never received their merchandise or a refund. I might not have gotten mine if I had not made a stink about it, because the seller did not want to help me either. 2540 reviews with 82% bad, and another 5% poor is not something they should be proud of...

You are right - not good stats. I don't' understand the jewelry example you mentioned unless it was multiple orders . Everything over 500 goes to POSHMARK directly for free appraisal . With tracking it should be simple insurance claim to postal service - unless it shows delivered in which case there is theft somewhere (porch pirates or something). I agree your experience was eye opener for me.. Average ship time showed too but it was not what you got! Do you think credit card helps?

Someone buying something that is not real Tupperware could get upset. I was nice about it, but was basically got told to mind my own business. This is one of the easiest ways to know that you have a genuine product on your hands. But if i see that the only options are dropdown boxes with a choice of sentences, then I will go the longer route. I love to write, and I have a journalism degree. It takes a lot of effort on my part to answer in short sentences. If you have not noticed that yet. LOL
