@gensmiley Hi, I have listed a leather jacket for 325$, I had someone as laurakc189 asking if I would take $150 I declined and this person asked if I would take $200, I declined again and said I would go as low as $300, she messaged me back and said she would rather support Danier rather than deal with my attitude, not sure what attitude, as I said I would not go below $300, maybe you can see the chat, is this the kind of people I will be dealing with here?

Hi Thelma. Sorry to hear about this negative experience you just had. Especially when you're just starting.I agree that $150 is way too low if you bought it at $377 and it's NWT. As soon as someone starts bargaining with you in the public comments, immediately take the convo to a bundle page where it's not so public. Pricing is a very tricky thing when it comes to reselling. It's something I'm still learning as well. Selling an item for 3/4 the original price, even when it's NWT is very rare tho

...I wish someone told me this when I first started, so I'll happily tell you...Before you decide to list an item in your closet, look up the "comps". That means the comparables out there. So see if there are any other items on Poshmark that are/were listed that are the exact same, or close to yours. Then in the filters, check out the available listings - if there are lots just sitting out there, it means the market is saturated and probably won't sell fast unless you price it low/competitively.

...then check out the sold listings - see how much similar items have sold for versus what they first listed the price at. Those 2 things will help you determine a) if the item is worth listing and b) if so, at what starting price. Remember, this is a thrifting platform, so people here are by nature, looking for great deals. I just wanna be real with you so that you can manage your expectations here realistically. I know how insulting it can feel when someone low balls you.
