I am sorry to hear that the jacket's sleeves were too short for your son. The reason I said that it fits like a Large size, is because I am size Large in shirts, size 42R/44R in suit jackets, 6' tall, flat stomach, 36 waist and 190 Lbs. The jacket fits me just fine. I wore it in several trips to California, Oregon and Canada. Based on what you'd said, that your son is 6' 2" and 180 Lbs, just length along tells me that his arms must be more like size XL.

@synnergetikos thank you for your reply. He does have long arms, however that’s not the problem. It’s not that the arms aren’t long enough, but that the width is for a overweight person with a very large middle. The only reason the arms do fit is because the width is so wide the shoulders fall down off the shoulders onto the arms, lengthening them.
