tgoff1 @kellkie Thanks so much, we had 3 dogs also then lost 2 within 2 months of each other...just a year ago...we miss them so much...still have one greyhound...she is SO sweet... they are the best dogs ever!! What kind do you have?

kellkie @tgoff1 I have one mixed breed, she’s 15 and she has kidney disease. But I gave her special food.And I have two black Pomeranians. All females. Two I have to keep separate because they will fight. Only because one is so old. My dogs are my babies I love them so much

tgoff1 @kellkie Yes they definitely become our babies! My chihuahua had kidney disease also and I made her some food and bought some special kidney dog food. She got pretty bad sick at the end and wouldn’t eat. Was sad, she was 16. Our other greyhound had a tumor and it was fast growing. Took her pretty quick... had to have them both put down...(soooo hard) Wish you well with your sick baby!

tgoff1 @kellkie I will say in looking back on it all we know we waited too long to make the decision to have our chihuahua put down... we were not ready to let her go, it was the toughest decision... and for her sake we wish we had done it sooner because we know she was suffering and it was our love for her that made us not want to let go...I can say that now but I didn’t feel that way while we were going through it all. God bless you as you face this difficult decision!! 💕

kellkie @tgoff1 yes, I was told to not put her down until she loses her appetite and stops eating. Right now she has a great appetite. So I guess I should put her down when she stops eating, or if her legs go out or something like that I’m thinking. I’ve never experienced this before.

tgoff1 @kellkie Us either, everyone kept saying you will know when it’s time but I think we just kept hanging on for selfish reasons ❤️. But definitely If she is still eating and moving then I wouldn’t either. Our vet said when she stops doing what she normally would do then it’s probably time. Makes sense (now).
