tamster1966 @curvystylemaven Praying here too. My oldest daughter left her apartment in Santa Rosa yesterday. She packed a car with her important items and went to stay at her boyfriend’s family’s house in Dixon. Really scary. I was born in California and have lived here for 53 years. I love the beauty of our state, but am wondering if we might have a better quality of life somewhere else. Too much to figure out right now. Just need to get through this power outage!🤪

curvystylemaven @tamster1966 glad your daughter is out of harms way. I’m sure Dixon is getting a lot of the smoke w/Delta winds. My niece was at Sonoma State in ‘17 when the first tragic fire started. 3rd gen native Northern Californian and I will be retiring out of state. I don’t recognize this as home any longer. 😢

tamster1966 @curvystylemaven The fires and evacuations have been terrible. It must have been unsettling for your niece. A lot of my friends have had kids at Sonoma State. My husband just retired from law enforcement. We’re starting to seriously talk about moving to another state. I absolutely agree that this doesn’t resemble the state that we have known and loved. It’s sad, but maybe an opportunity for a new adventure and meeting new people that have similar values. Blessings!😊
