denimandiamonds Hi Trina! I lived in Colorado Springs in 1972. People were actually still riding into town on horseback. ( My husband was in the Army, & had been sent to do a civilian study with the then famous Dr. Delregado at Penrose Cancer Hospital) ( … & I was a N.Y. city girl. It was an adjustment. I know it has changed dramatically over the years, but I’m sure it’s still one of the garden spots of this country!

My dad was military & we came thru COS a few times starting in the 90s. We had lived in Alaska, too, which we all loved. I decided back in the 90s that Colorado was the place I'd like to settle. 20 years later, here I am. 😁

fablespocket I love it here. I would love to move up to Woodland Park. Its the cutest little mtn town and still near the Springs for my docs. Feel truly blessed here. The Garden is still as beautiful as ever. I'm so glad it remains free for people to love and enjoy! I take my dogs hiking their on their beautiful trails. 😍 Thanks again for sharing. I love that! denimandiamonds @fablespocket So nice to hear back from you about how you ended up in the Springs. After a year there, I ended up divorced & moved to Denver with my 3 year old daughter. We were there about 6 months. I had taught dancing for a period in NY. In Denver, I met a man who was on his way to Vegas to open a new Arthur Murray Studio. He sold me b on beautiful it was here. So, we b packed up and drove over the mountains into Vegas. He turned out to be a jerk

I can't recall, but she may have lived in NY, too. :) I am so blessed to be here, and every time I see these mountains, I am so joyful and happy. I LOVE it here. My dogs do, too lol. So many great drives and hiking trails. My son and I enjoy exploring this beautiful land. ❤️
