I’ve always had cats too & make it a point to rescue and adopt black cats since shelters and rescue organizations sometimes have a hard time finding homes for them b/c of all the superstitions, etc. (Dogs w/mostly black fur also have this adoption issue too). Had I been aware, I'd have had it repaired, as I too suffer from very weak eyesight & realize it's difficult to sew on a button. I'm happy you like the tapestry jacket; it has great details!
