Hi! I'm Veronika. My hobbies are photography, art, and crafts, and I enjoy the outdoors. I love to kayak, swim & hike. And I love to feed and watch birds, especially woodpeckers and hummingbirds. I have 4 kids, ages 17-25. The top pic is my parent's wedding photo from 1969. Sadly my father passed in 2014. But my mom is healthy at 83. She hikes and swims. Many of the dresses I have listed belonged to my mom ❤️❤️❤️. For more pics and artwork, follow me on Instagram @Veronika_scissorhands

veronikoti @veronikafashion Hi, I had to follow you, we're name twins, down to the "k"! I never meet other Veronikas with Ks. 😉

veronikafashion
veronikafashion Nice to meet you! It is an unusual spelling for the U.S., but that is the way it is spelled in Europe. My mother is from Germany. I hated my name as a child, but I like it now because it is unique. How about you? We're your parents being creative or are they from Europe?
Jan 27Reply
veronikoti
veronikoti @veronikafashion Same deal! My mother is from Germany, my father was in the army stationed near her town and they met at a bar, the rest is history! I also hated my name growing up - I wished I was a Lisa or a Jenny, but I am so glad I'm a Veronika, with a k. I was 8 when my sister was born, and requested she have a V name too, and I picked Vanessa. She didn't like it when she was little, either!
Jan 27Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion Cute! I have been called Vanessa, Vicky, Victoria, and Valery. Apparently my name is hard to remember. What part of Germany is your mom from? My mother is actually from the German speaking part of Czechoslovakia, but was forced to leave after the war. (She is 80 now.). Her family eventually ended up in Ingolstadt, which is about an hour from Munich. She came to the U.S. to learn English and decided to stay.

veronikoti
veronikoti @veronikafashion My mother was born in Erfurt, East Germany, and they escaped to West Germany when she was 13. It was very dramatic, her father was in a labor camp in Siberia, and passed away after surgery, so there was nothing to keep them in Erfurt anymore. They lived in Viernheim, outside of Frankfurt, which is where my dad was stationed. She went back 2 years ago to visit her last living brother, and they traveled to Erfurt, she hadn't been back since they left in '55.
Jan 28Reply
veronikoti
veronikoti Oh, and I'm always called Victoria, too! My sister gets Valerie a lot. 😝
Jan 28Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion Wow, what a story! My mother and her family were forced off their farm after the war. Her father was mayor of the tiny village she lived in, which was near Iglau in Czeckoslovakia. I can't recall the current name. Her father was arrested and the rest of the family were held in internment camps until they were sent by train to east Germany. Some family were trapped there. Her father was forced to work in labor camps for 11 yrs. He died of cancer from being forced to work in uranium mines.
Jan 28Reply
veronikoti
veronikoti @veronikafashion Wow, their stories are so similar! I guess people living through war in approximately the same area would have similar experiences. My mother's family had a working farm, and after her father was taken away, their property was taken too. They were not communist sympathizers. My mother is 74, so she said she had a few happy years, till she was 6 and her father was taken. I don't know what he did in the labor camp, but he had a brain tumor, which is why he had surgery.
Jan 28Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion Yes, that is true. So little is known of the time period after the war. (The resettlement). It is almost like people think after the prisoners were freed from the concentration camps, everything was fine. But ppl were starving. No one talks about it because they are embarrassed. When I mention what my family went thru, ppl ask if we are Jewish. There are some books on the subject. I wanted to write about it, too, but my mom does not want to talk about it much.
Jan 28Reply
veronikoti
veronikoti @veronikafashion Yes! I always told my mother she should write a memoir, it's so tragic, yet fascinating, but she doesn't really talk about it. Food and clothes were scarce. This went on for years after the war ended, and so many people suffered, not only the concentration camp survivors. My parents always made the best of our circumstances when I was little, because of their own childhood experiences. They tend to be over-generous now that we're adults and they're comfortable in retirement.
Jan 28Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion There was not enough food and other countries did not want to help Germany, so they got very little aid. My mother still will not throw out food, even if it is questionable. Her baby sister died from a combination of starvation (her mother lost her milk) and disease.
Jan 28Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion My mother was older than your mom. Her young teens were completely shaped around the after effects of the war. She likes to talk about her childhood from before the end of the war, but not so much afterward. I think she has forgotten a lot about it. This is a time period kids should learn about in school.
Jan 28Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion Do you ever think about how weird it is that the only people to remember the war were small children at the time and are elderly now? Their first hand accounts about the war are about to be lost.
Jan 28Reply
veronikoti
veronikoti @veronikafashion wow, my mother had 2 younger sisters, one was always sick (rheumatic fever led to lifelong rheumatoid arthritis), and her youngest sister died as a baby due to some kind of stomach ailment, and couldn't keep food down and died at just a few months old.
Jan 29Reply
veronikoti
veronikoti Yes, my mother recently turned 73, so she's 7 years younger than your mother. Her eldest brother is your mother's age, maybe a couple years older. He's always been very serious and dour, he would've understood and experienced more than my mother would've been able to process as a young child. It is interesting that these children of the war are the witnesses we have left today, but don't want to reflect upon it. You're right, this is what kids should be learning about.
Jan 29Reply
veronikoti
veronikoti Even in my own "modern world history" class in high school, we didn't really learn about the kind of things our families went through, so I would sometimes talk about it, and the other kids would look at me like I was an alien being. Their parents had a more "leave it to beaver" childhood.
Jan 29Reply
veronikoti
veronikoti Even my father had a tough childhood, he was born in Puerto Rico, his mother died of tuberculosis when he was 6, his father left him and his little brother with family members while he went to NYC to woo the woman that he married and I knew as my grandmother. He sent for him when he was 8 and he grew up in Ohio. He's always been a bit of a loner, I'm sure he has abandonment issues.
Jan 29Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion I told my mom about you and she got very excited. She said she would love to talk to your mother on the phone (she doesn't use the Internet). Do you think your mother would be interested in a phone conversation? At her age, most of my mother's friends have passed away. My father passed away last year. But, luckily her 2 sisters are still alive and living in Germany.
Jan 29Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion Also, I was wondering if you rather talk on FB? It would be a lot easier (since I keep going over the word limit) and more private. Though I have to warn you that I am very liberal and share a lot of liberal articles lol.
Jan 29Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion My mother is the oldest and was definitely affected much more than her younger sisters. Some people in the family have visited the village they once lived in. It had a very cute name, Blumendorf (flower village). I am not clear on whether the Russians or the Czechs forced them off their land. My mother described waves of people fleeing ahead of the Russians for several months. Their village was occupied by troops. She recalled seeing a line of Russian tanks as far as the eye could see.
Jan 29Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion She would have been 9 years old at the time (at the end of the war in 1945). There was no school because that is where the refugees stayed. My grandfather was in labor camps. I understand one of the camps was Therasianstadt (sp?), which was a former concentration camp. How many people know that these camps were used after the war? Almost no one.

Feb 07Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion Thank you so much! They are simple enough. I sort through magazines and other papers, such as junk mail and catalogs, and tear off pieces that I glue down to make a picture. The fun part is looking for just the right color or pattern. It can be very challenging!
Feb 07Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @rachelspretties thanks so much! I have always enjoyed taking junk or trash and turning it into something useful or beautiful. I especially enjoy it if you can still see what the item was originally. For example, I used a lot of pictures of watches and jewelry in the last piece. I wish I could see your art as well. Do you think you can put them on your profile like I did?

Feb 07Reply

veronikafashion @wildboutfashion thank you! The last one is a favorite of mine, too. I sold it awhile back and am thinking of making a similar one. Yes, my mother had a very interesting childhood. It would make a great book or movie :) she is definitely a survivor and, at 80 years old, is active and even loves to go hiking!

conejito0660 Hi Veronica! Welcome to Poshmark! I saw in your comments that you were called Victoria and I thought that was funny because my name is Victoria and I was always called either Veronica or Vanessa! lol! Anything other than what my actual name was. Occasionally I have been called Jennifer 🤔?!? I'm not sure what that is all about! I hope you have been enjoying yourself here so far!
Feb 07Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @conejito0660 thank you! Nice to meet you, too. I have been having a good time. Sharing stuff is kind of addicting. I have met so many nice people on here. I find it funny how the boys clothes sell better than the women's. I have 3 teen boys, so that works for me lol.

veronikafashion @kreativekristen I love your upcycled items! Especially the skirts made from ties. So cute! I like the skirt made from jeans and I like your eye artwork, too. I love to upcycle things as well, such as my art made from magazines. I have made tote bags from old jean skirts. I made a great pair of slippers that I love (warm, but ugly lol) from an old polar fleece sweatshirt that had a hole in it and was too small for my kids. I am wearing them right now :)
Feb 08Reply
kreativekristen
kreativekristen @veronikafashion , I gave an etsy site too... I upcycle furniture too... My art really comes from color first... Custom tie skirt just sold, I love making ing them and can make with waist, hip and length measurements to suit...painting is more a summertime thing , where my outside pics are taken is where I put my easel ;)
Feb 08Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @kreativekristen I noticed that you have a beautiful view from your deck :). It sounds like you do a lot of fun stuff. I find art to be very therapeutic. All my problems melt away while I focus on art. I just wish I could make a living off it. I had no luck on Etsy, but have sold a few items elsewhere, mostly to acquaintances. I am not particularly talented, but I don't let that stop me from having fun with it.
Feb 08Reply
kreativekristen
kreativekristen @veronikafashion , yes we go to art to balance our brain, etsy us new to me...someday I ll get that site right and be able to make a living...I ve only been painting for 2 years and the sewing just came into play when I put my sewing machine up a few months ago... After like 15 years... So I learn as I go...
Feb 08Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @kreativekristen you are making me feel inspired! I want to make a skirt out of ties, now :) I recently shared a jean skirt embellished with ties. It was really cute and looked simple enough to make... and had an outrageous price. I might just start learning how to use my new to me sewing machine. I broke my old one on some really tough jean fabric while making a tote bag from a skirt.
Feb 08Reply
kreativekristen
kreativekristen @veronikafashion , denim FYI- sharp needles, heavier thread....and keep projects out where you can see them ... The prep becomes the inspiration ... Think of them as art not craft ... I am a mom , grandma , mantle and teacher...
Feb 08Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @kreativekristen thanks for the tips. I think the problem was mostly with the machine. It would run too fast. The pedal was too sensitive. So it was too hard to control. I think it will go better with the new machine. Where do you get the ties from? They sell them at my local thrift store, but getting enough for a skirt would be expensive.
Feb 08Reply

raidergirl Love the name because it's my daughter's too,I always liked Veronique which is French and my best friend's name when I grew up in France ...But I was watching a Russian movie one night while I was pregnant with my daughter .And I was watching the movie's credit .. And I swear I saw 3 different people named Veronika And I was ooooh I love it with the k ..The K is Russian/polish and German ..My daughter is 32 .. And she always loved her name .She thanks me all the time .Because it looks exotic ..
Feb 13Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @raidergirl that is a cute story. I named my daughter, Katrina, after seeing it in a video game while I was pregnant! I still love her name. I did not meet another Veronica until high school. I had a lot of trouble fitting in, so I did not appreciate my unusual name very much when I was young. My mom having been a refugee after WWII understood nothing about our styles or traditions here in the U.S., so that made it harder. But I did always get compliments on my name. And I love it now.

donnastreasures Hi, Welcome to Poshmark! You're off to a great start! The best advice I could give you is to follow as many people as possible & share their items. They'll do the same. This will help build your business. We all try to help one another sell. I'm on Poshmark 7 days a week, many times a day. If there's ever anything I can do to help you, please don't hesitate to contact me. 💚

veronikafashion @couponer920 thank you for the welcome! Everyone has been super nice so far. I have been sharing like crazy! I have shared about 1,000 or more items a day. It takes me all day, lol. And I answer questions promptly. I am really glad I decided to give this site a try. I am excited at the idea of making a small 2nd income while working at home. I really hope it works out. I know that I need to expand my closet in order to do that, so that is what I will be working on in the next few days.

Feb 14Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @couponer920 I hope so lol! It was a very slow start, so I really needed to stick with it. I am hoping to make at least $10 a day in the near future. Seems doable, but I noticed some people's stuff take months to sell. I am horribly impatient, so that'll be my worst challenge.
Feb 14Reply
donnastreasures
donnastreasures @veronikafashion You definitely have to be patient. Some things have sold in minutes, some have taken months. I recently sold a purse that I listed in August. As long as you share items & promote your closet you'll start seeing sales. I promote my closet on the social media sites once a day.

veronikoti @veronikafashion hi! I'm sorry I didn't see your responses! I meant to come back and check too, but life got in the way... I would love to switch to FB instead! Lol, I am a bleeding heart liberal, although most of my postings have been just about cats lately. It's an election year, and the last 2 election years on FB were...interesting. You learn which of your friends are super conservative then. I've seen long term friendships break up on FB during an election year!
Feb 14Reply
veronikoti
veronikoti @veronikafashion Let me check with my mom about if she'd be game to talk to your mother. She can be unpredictable about meeting new people, at times, so I don't know how she'll respond! Although I think it would be interesting, personally, to meet someone with a similar life experience, and see how they processed it. I'll mention it to her the next time I talk to her (in the next day or so)!
Feb 14Reply
veronikoti
veronikoti @veronikafashion by the way, I love your artwork! We seem to have a lot more than names and similar maternal stories in common! I studied art, got my BFA, though I work a "regular business job", and mostly do art for leisure. Your pieces are beautiful. I am also an outdoor aficionado, but more hiking, biking, trail running - I am a terrible swimmer, so my forays into the water are very careful ones. And I hope to get my back and side yards certified as a wildlife habitat!
Feb 14Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @veronikoti wow, we really do have a lot in common! Until my health problems started (long story) I used to love to hike as well. My family enjoyed it, too. I have a few favorite places here in SE PA and in the Poconos. I am flattered you like my art! I took some art classes in high school, but never went further with it. I much prefer to learn my own way anyway. I have been a SAHM for years, so now I finally have time for my interests.

veronikafashion @jewelsgalore Thank you! Stories like ours should be preserved as much as possible. There is so much to be learned from the past and it is amazing how soon we forget. Unfortunately, much of it is never taught in schools. What we are taught are basic facts and dates. But there is nothing like hearing first hand accounts of these events.

veronikafashion
veronikafashion @jewelsgalore I have been taking notes on my mother's stories, but she was only 10 and did not understand a lot of it at the time. For example, she does not know if it was the Russians or the Czechs who imprisoned her father. It would take a lot of research to try to fit her memories with historic events. Reguardless, I am writing down what she tells me and will pass it onto my own children. I am proud of my family history. It is full of strong people who persevered.

veronikoti @veronikafashion @jewelsgalore thank you!, too! Well I tried to get my mother to open up more and see if she was willing to connect with Veronika's mother, but she said she didn't want to dredge up the past and that she "was too old" to make new friends.
Jun 02Reply
veronikoti
veronikoti @veronikafashion @jewelsgalore Sigh...but I was recently in California for a family reunion of my fathers family, and it was fascinating to hear about his family, because he never spoke much about them! We do need to preserve these stories, they might not seem like much to our parents, but they're how the next generation learns about their history.
Jun 02Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @veronikoti I understand about your mother. It is completely understandable. Maybe some day you can get her to talk about it by telling her how important it is not to forget these events. Though I think it is sad that she thinks she is too old to make new friends. My mom is 80 and is shy, but she does enjoy meeting people with similar interests. I think she only has 1 friend who is still alive. However, my mom keeps busy and active and seems happy.
Jun 02Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @tamalama56 thank you! The artwork is really fun to make. They are made from scraps of magazines and junk mail. II can be quite a challenge to find the correct color and texture. I love to repurpose and recycle and find the beauty in discarded items and like to convey that to others. I think that is why I enjoy selling vintage clothes. It is a way of recycling and finding the beauty in something old that might otherwise be discarded.

Jun 02Reply
veronikoti
veronikoti @veronikafashion I'm glad you understand. I wish my mother was happy and kept herself busy, she dwells on the negative and has so much invested in being unhappy, and angry with my father. I had hoped the thought of "meeting" someone with a similar background might bring her around, give her something to be interested in, but she was having none of it!
Jun 03Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @veronikoti We can't change people. Especially when they are so set in their ways. A different outlook would be good for your mom. All that bitterness is very unhealthy. There are so many wonderful things in life to enjoy, that the negative can be balanced out just by enjoying how beautiful the world is. Sadly, I am no stranger to depression, so I know how hard, or even impossible, it can be sometimes. Hopefully she will tell you about her past someday before it is too late.
Jun 03Reply
veronikoti
veronikoti @veronikafashion I too am no stranger to depression, and have often encouraged my mother to seek help, but she has always declined...perhaps in another life. I'm glad your mother stays so active, I know that goes a long way to being happier!

freakygirl
freakygirl veronika, I was totally enthralled, reading your conversation with veronikoti. it's almost like I was eavesdropping! I hope I wasn't! but what an interesting story you both had. it's too bad that her mom chose not to be in touch with yours. I wish they had. who knows, it might've been "healing" for her mom to talk to someone about those days instead of keeping it locked up inside. but people deal with hurts in different ways. it was like I was reading a book!
Jun 03Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @veronikoti one thing I have learned is that you can't help someone who won't help themselves. I bet it would be good for her if she could talk about her past.
Jun 06Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @freakygirl I don't mind at all that you read it! Veronikoti and I knew others could read what we wrote and we are fine with it. It is so important to pass stories like these on to the next generations. How much of this do we learn in school? How sad to think this information is being lost. It is quite a complement that you were enthralled by our stories! I would like to write a book about my mother's childhood someday. But, ugh, so much research would need to be done!

freakygirl hey veronika! when I began reading it, I was hooked! you SHOULD write a book! it's vital that younger generations know the past. the horrors, the bravery, the strength and determination, the resilience of all those who went thru that time in history. it helps us to understand, and hopefully teach tolerance and and kindness. you can do it!
Jun 06Reply
veronikoti
veronikoti @freakygirl I started telling my mother to write down her story years ago! She and her brother are the only ones left that lived through their experience, and her brother (who is much older than her) actually left home when she was young, and hadn't dealt with his father's death and their subsequent escape to a West Berlin refugee camp (he'd gone to west Germany years earlier). I always found it to be a compelling story, but sadly, she isn't interested in the story living on.
Jun 06Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @veronikoti that is such a shame! But you can't force it to happen. My mom would never write about it herself, but she will tell me stories once in awhile and I will write them down. She keeps herself so busy that she feels she doesn't have time to write, or even barely takes the time to talk about it. Years ago, I bought a recorder to carry with me and switch on when she started talking, but she wouldn't take the time, and I have since lost the recorder.

freakygirl
freakygirl veronikoti, so nice to hear from you. I got goose bumps just reading your conversation with veronika. I also felt sad that your mom chose not to communicate with hers. I can only imagine how much it pained her what happened all those years ago. of course we can't even begin to comprehend the tragedies and horrors they had to live thru. I guess talking about it will just open up long buried wounds.
Jun 06Reply
freakygirl
freakygirl still, it would've been nice if she could share those stories and feelings with someone who actually lived it too. it's her way of dealing with her experience and we can only try to be supportive and allow her her privacy. please give your mom a hug from me. she doesn't need to know me for me to reach out in a small way to give her some love

veronikafashion @antiqueorunique I love your stuff. I am a big fan of upcycling. My art is a form of upcycling, too. I already share with vintage vixens. I was invited by vintagevulture about a week ago. It is fun and easy. I hadn't heard of the other group. I will have to check them out. How do I find it? Can you tag me in it?
Jun 07Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @freakygirl you are so sweet! I am glad my mom is willing to talk about it. My cousin wrote down my Oma's (my mother's mother) stories before she passed. I am so glad she did! My mother said she learned some things by reading it. She learned that the Russian workers they had at their farm were Russian prisoners of war from WWI. She had not known that until she read my Oma's story. Things really came full circle for their family.
Jun 07Reply
freakygirl
freakygirl we will never know the full impact that such events have on ones life. it can either leave you bitter, or accepting and strong. I'm pretty sure your mom is the latter. and I have a feeling you took after her 😊
Jun 07Reply
freakygirl
freakygirl who do you look more like? mom or dad? and whose genes did your artistic talent come from?
Jun 07Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @freakygirl my mom is a beautiful woman. Unfortunately I look like my father lol! My mother is the artist. When my father met my mother on the beach in New Jersey, she was drawing a picture at the time! I also enjoy photography and had placed on his prayer cards a really pretty pic of a sunset behind a lighthouse that I took at his favorite place, Cape Henlopen state park in Delaware. I took that pic 2 months before he died. I didn't know how sick he was.
Jun 07Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @freakygirl would you like to look me up on FB? It would make having a conversation much easier. And you could see more of my artwork and pics of my beautiful kids :). My name is Veronika Berry. And my profile pic is of Bernie Sanders with flaming hair lol! I should be easy to find.
Jun 07Reply
freakygirl
freakygirl your dad has pretty fine features, so I'm sure you're good looking. sunset behind a lighthouse sounds lovely. my husband and i used to collect lighthouse figurines. you should open a little boutique to sell your artwork and vintage clothes. it would be so charming.
Jun 07Reply
freakygirl
freakygirl shocking, but I don't do fb! I don't know, I just never got into it. thank you for the invite though 😀 I know right? this comment page has become wildly long! lol!
Jun 07Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @freakygirl considering that I only make about $10 a day on here, even with millions of potential customers, I'm not sure a boutique would work out for me. But it is a fun thought! I had some of my artwork at a little local gallery, but didn't sell anything there. I have sold a few at my dr office where they let people show their work. I should promote it more and approach other galleries, but I haven't gotten around to it.
Jun 07Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @freakygirl I think you can still look me up on FB. I have my artwork in a folder that can be viewed by the public. You don't have to be my friend to see it.
Jun 07Reply

veronikafashion @freakygirl let me know if you find me on FB. There are at least 2 vintage clothing shops near me that I haven't had a chance to visit yet. If nothing else, I might be able to sell them some of the men's vintage clothes that I can not sell on here.

asolinger Love your artwork. I love collage! I am a art teacher 🎨
Jul 02Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @asolinger thank you! They are a lot of fun to make. I really enjoy searching for just the right color and texture. My favorite artist is Derek Gores. He does some amazing stuff with collage that I only wish I could do. What grade do you teach?
Jul 02Reply
asolinger
asolinger @veronikafashion I teach kindergarten thru 2nd grade now. I have taught up to 8th grade. Was reading your previous comments. My mother in law is German. She is 84. My last name is also German but I don't know alot about my great grandfathers family to know what part of Germany they were from. It's amazing sometimes what people have in common when the world is such a big place.
Jul 02Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @asolinger teaching art sounds like a lot of fun! I bet it is pretty crazy. Some of my best memories are of creating art with my children when they were young. Yes, it is a small world, isn't it? It is very interesting that so many people have similar stories in their family history. I guess because, unfortunately, war and genocide happen throughout history in many different parts of the world. I think these are important stories that need to be shared and learned from.
Jul 02Reply
asolinger
asolinger @veronikafashion I totally agree with you, they should. I also have a strong native American geneology and that too is difficult to track down. My dad was taught not to talk about his heritage and it was something to be ashamed of. His native american grandmother married his german grandfather. Both are cultures and people that have suffered immensely.
Jul 02Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @asolinger oh, that is such a shame! Once these stories are lost, you just can't get them back. There is a lot of shame and guilt for the German people as well. So there is very little, if anything, that is taught about the time period just after WWII. So little is known by the average person, that if I mention anything about how my family was affected, I often get asked, "are you Jewish?" Peop,e can't wrap their minds around the fact that the entire continent was profoundly affected.

anastasiablue More? Wow - you have quite a vintage treasure on your hands! Your closet will be on my shortlist! 🙄
Jul 02Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @anastasiablue yes there is more. Most of it is for cooler weather, so I am not in a hurry to list them. There are a lot of sweaters from the 80s and 90s and a lot of coats from the 60s and 70s. I inspect and clean everything carefully. Sadly, a lot of items are in too bad shape to sell. But that is to be expected. I am really enjoying selling vintage on here and seeing the positive responses from people on Poshmark. And I love that these clothes will be enjoyed again!

swallowtails Beautiful art Veronica❣ I Love your profile picture😻 Love cats, all sizes. And birds too. I used to feed peanuts from my hand to wild california scrub jays. Birds are incredibly smart❣ Nice getting to know you💕 My name is Valerie 💃🏼
Oct 04Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @swallowtails thank you Valerie! Yes, birds are very smart! I haven't tried hand feeding them, but I do put out peanut feeders for woodpeckers. I loved watching the parents bring their fledglings to the feeder to teach them how to peck for food. So cute! My hummingbirds migrated a couple weeks ago, but I love watching them fight over the feeders. They are so curious and brazen. Did you know some of them fly over the Gulf of Mexico? It takes them 20 hours. Amazing!

swallowtails
swallowtails Yes Veronika, hummingbirds, like many other birds ARE amazing. I have a hummingbird feeder outside my kitchen window I enjoy watching them dive, zip & zoom then finally, enjoy the nectar that will sustain them on their long flights. It's still warm enough here in CA so I still enjoy their antics. Have you ever had them chirp & chatter at you when you take down the feeder to refill it? That always makes me smile because they're watching every move I make. 💕TFS💕 please stop by again soon.
Oct 05Reply
veronikafashion
veronikafashion @swallowtails do you have hummingbirds year round? I wish I did. I won't see them again until around May 1st. I keep 2 feeders up, but they still fight over them. So territorial! Ive seen them chase off other small birds, like chickadees, if they get too close to their food. I even saw one chase after a carpenter bee! I love how curious they are. They look into my windows and sometimes hover in front of my cat that is in the house, teasing him. Lol!
Oct 05Reply
swallowtails
swallowtails The hummingbirds become less in the winter but we will occasionally see the Anna's hummingbird at the feeder. The male's red head and throat are so beautiful! The hummers are such a sweet bird. Here is a bit of info you may not know: The Portuguese name for "hummingbird" literally translated means "flower-kisser." Isn't that great? I think this description fits perfectly! I hope your day is filled with beauty and you have tremendous sales too. Enjoy :)

It is extremely intimidating to me though. It has so many cams that do different things. I plan to get some oil and clean it up, then hire someone to hopefully teach me how to use it. I'm glad we connected. It has been nice chatting with you. Best, Tricia
