msjrafferty vickie, omgosh I AM SO SORRY!! i use rose scented tissue paper to wrap my items, no i’ve never had a problem before. i do realize, however that some folks have sensitivities, and i am so very sorry this happened to you. totally 100% my fault.

medical_momma @msjrafferty Jill, you don’t have to do that. I didn’t even know they made scented tissue paper, and I can understand why you would make the extra effort for your customers. It is a sweet gesture, but, yeah, it can have a really negative impact on some people.

medical_momma @msjrafferty I didn’t use to be so sensitive but I developed a chronic illness a few years ago and since then I just can’t deal with most scents, which sucks because I used to love scented candles (and made them and specialty soaps for years) and now can’t even walk past an open door of a candle or even soap shop :(.

medical_momma @msjrafferty This experience has made me realize that I need to speak up early when participating in online purchasing such as Poshmark, to prevent something like this in the future. I’m still very new to this and it just never occurred to me to consider how items might be packaged. I’ve been so impressed with the sellers I’ve purchased from who take the time to make the buyers experience special.

I just happened to be that “one” to suffer from your sweetness. We both know now to be proactive in our interactions and awareness is what matters most.

msjrafferty @medical_momma i’ve just reviewed everything and please please please do this tonight, as you only have three days to open a case and today is the third day after delivery. go to “my purchase” and select this one. scroll down to the bottom and click “problem/order inquiry”. then you’ll get another pull-down menu, select “item not as described”. i think you’ll then have a chance to enter a narrative;

msjrafferty @medical_momma ... tell them what happened and state that you “reported” (use that word)!the problem in your review the day you received it. you didn’t realize you had to file a “formal case”, you are doing so now. request to return the items for a full refund. hopefully they will not say that it’s too late, but if they do i will work with you to handle it between us. i want you to be made whole. 😊❤️

medical_momma @msjrafferty I only just saw your reply. I’ve done as instructed but I’m not sure it will be accepted since I did accept the order immediately so they would release payment. It never occurred to me to not accept it but by then I wasn’t thinking very clearly. Anyway, I guess Poshmark has their rules in place for the protection of both parties but there doesn’t seem to be much wiggle room. We’ll just have to wait and see what they say and go from there. It will be okay however it turns out.

medical_momma @msjrafferty I haven’t tried yet. I have a Dr appointment tomorrow (3 hrs one way) but I’ll give it a try on Wednesday. I may just put them in a soaking bowl outside on the porch and see what happens. Thank you for going to such great lengths for me, it is all okay on my end. If it ends up not working for me. I’m fine with donating them to someone around here.
