ALWAYS check out the seller's other listings. If they are selling only one or two HIGH END brands all "NWT", it's fake. Her listing looked good by itself--promise to find receipt, etc.--but she had 3 of the exact same item, and nothing else. HUGE RED FLAG. Plus--those Burberry scarves are REALLY easy to fake--lots of fake NovaCheck scarves on Posh😡

What kind of cats are THOSE??? Are they yours?? Might be the CUTEST EVER!!!!😍❤😂

If you find a seller who has a lot of nice, different luxury items, and NOT ALL "Iconic" items, and they have one Burberry NovaCheck scarf, there's a good chance it's authentic. Seeing a receipt or department store tag (NOT just a "Burberry" tag) is best, of course. Unfortunately, THAT particular scarf is faked SO OFTEN😠

I bought a fake Tory Burch bag on Posh awhile back. If I'd checked out the seller first, I would have known. I'll tag you on a couple fake listings if you want to see what I'm talking about. Certain Dior bags, Gucci belts, Chanel quilted bags, Chloe Paddington bags are among the worst. And you have to be suspicious/sceptical of ALL Dolce Gabbana bags, I just learned that one.

@karina_369 so sorry you brought a fake stuff. I always through posh has very few fake stuff. Cause I’ve read it’s policy document, it seems Posh is very strict to fake stuff and has some way to protect the buyer. I’ll be very careful next time. Wish you have a good night.

@yaiko_woo I just had to learn to be s little more careful. Most sellers are very nice and honest! Don't be afraid to ask where they got an item or if they are sure it is authentic--I ask all the time, usually telling them the item is very pretty (to not offend) but that I like to know/be sure. I've spent A LOT of money on Posh without any other problems

It just taught me to be a bit careful. You'll be fine, just check out your sellers other items and ask yourself if their closet "makes sense". For example--if they are selling a Chanel bag that retails $4000 for $499, and the rest of their "closet" is Old Navy and Forever21, stay away!!😂

If I'm getting a particularly high end item, I also consider where the seller is from. There are ALOT of women on Posh from Boca Raton, Beverly Hills, etc. Some of them include photos that show their lifestyles a bit. When I find those closets, I tend to trust them much more. It's kind if fun actually--you get a sense of someone else's life.

One closet I like a lot belongs to a lady who is a "stylist" for a tv show. She usually has a photo from the show of the actress wearing the outfit she's selling. I can tag you later in a couple of fun closets like that, if you like!😄

Oh--last thing--if you EVER get an item that doesn't seem right, might be fake, or is not like described, PoshMark IS great about refunding you--you just have to note there's a problem and describe it on the "accept order" page. You have 3 days to dispute an order.

You can also get your money back if an item isn't described correctly. I've done that several times. It's easy. After you tell them the problem, they review, then give you a return slip to print to put on free post office mailer. Once Post Office scans the label, your money is returned. I've done that for even minor damage when seller did not disclose. If the seller doesn't say what condition item is in, I ask.

That way, I know and agree to what I'm getting. Sometimes a small flaw doesn't bother me, but I need to know first. If a seller says "excellent used condition", there shouldn't be any noticeable flaws. I've returned cashmere sweaters that were sold as "excellent used condition" or "EUC" for minor pilling of the wool. But the seller said perfect condition, and it wasn't!

My money was refunded when I got the fake Tory Burch bag, so it worked out. PoshMark took that seller off the site.
