louleelou @yohanna_mueller Hey my friend ....There's no fabric content label anywhere in this coat!🤷‍♀️ Very unusual. I did a little research online & although I found the item description, the only thing I found re fabrication is the trim is "faux leather". I suspect the brocade/damask fabric is a synthetic blend of polyester & maybe some rayon(?) It's fabulous quality & a nice weight, not flimsy.

Please do look out for me if you come across it in any of those colors. I'd ideally like to find it NWT or NWOT but will consider if it's been worn once, maybe twice. In other words mint condition. I'm picky with purchasing used coats only because of the pilling factor on them.

It's pretty, just wasn't exactly the one I had my heart set on. I was really drawn the the feminine hourglass shape of the brocade one you purchased. But I'm thinking about it and if the price comes down and it's still around I may snag it. It's more of a late spring and early fall coat.

It's probably the main reason I began 25 years ago searching, collecting & wearing vintage coats & jackets .... Especially from the 40s & 50s. The fabrics were more natural & high quality, like silk, wool & cotton blends, as opposed to nearly everything being polyester today🙄

Yes, It's truly like "searching for a needle in a haystack", ha ha😂 I Love Poshmark for that reason .... I can search for higher end/designer items at a deep discount. Unfortunately like you said, most manufacturers use low quality synthetics. Can't seem to get away from it!
