zenas_closet_ @eclectic_threds Thank you, so I have a buyer that is interested in purchasing my dress; she messages me requesting additional photos so she can be sure that she wants to buy it. I sent the photos to her email address. And she replies, but she says that she was having issues with purchasing it using her debit card and wanted to purchase my dress via check, and then we could arrange to ship. She stated that it would take two-three business days to receive said check and after I received it.

zenas_closet_ I could send her the dress but I don't know if this is legitimate or not because she wanted me to list my dress as not for sale. I told her I didn't feel comfortable with unlisting my dress because I don't normally accept checks. She requested my full address and phone number so she can send it to me but still, I don't know as a first-time seller is this something that happens and if so is it legitimate or a scam. Sorry, for the long rant I just wanted a second opinion before moving forward.

eclectic_threds @zmarielopez22 This is a common scam. Quit communicating with her immediately. I would click the little flag and report it as spam. Anytime someone want to communicate off the app it is a scam. Also you put your account in jeopardy of being shut down if you communicate off the app. I hope this helps.

eclectic_threds @zmarielopez22 Yes, they target new sellers and expensive items. Never give anyone your email address or communicate with someone on theirs. Don’t even reply to those comments just click the flag by the comments and report it as off app request and spam. Let me know if you have any other questions and good luck with your posh journey! 🥰
