mistresmischief FYI Dansko size 40 do fit like a size 9. Sometimes a little bit more loosely and sometimes a bit tighter. Parts of this brand are handmade so there can be some variance. I am a RN and have been wearing these for the better part of my career and wear a size 9 in most shoes and always get 40 in Dansko. Yes, they are authentic to answer your question in your rating.
