We are the Moveable Beasts fundraising for Ride for the Feast; a 2-day bike ride totaling 140-miles from Ocean City to Baltimore. It raises money for Moveable Feast, the only Maryland nonprofit that delivers free, healthy meals to those living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Last year we delivered 743,940 meals to 6,060 Marylanders. $1,500 is the cost of feeding 1 client for a year; 140 miles is the furthest distance we travel to deliver to a client. Every sale helps!

I have my MA in Counseling Psych, I had a private practice for 10yrs, had to close it due to health issues 10 years ago, now a board certified life/mind-body-spirit wellness mojo woo woo coach to be lol. some health issues still keeping me out of the working loop so selling on Posh for now. I worked as an HIV/AIDS case manager 22 yrs ago

free2beyou @moveablebeasts...I think you all are doing a great thing for a great cause! One of the parts of my job I hated the most was delivering food boxes to clients, not the actual job, I loved the people & it was an honor to be allowed into anyone's private life & home, but the food they had us bring was so unhealthy, I felt conflicted delivering it! And, this was years before I personally started eating clean due to my own quirky health issues. So it says a lot that I thought the food was junk then.

free2beyou @moveablebeasts again, best of luck on your endeavor! I will say this, it's amazing how far we've come with medications & other treatment & support for folks with HIV/AIDS. Back when I worked in the field they didn't have the treatment they have now & none of my former clients survived. Just know you're all making a difference that you may not realize for years. Make genuine connections with your clients & everyone you come into contact with day to day. The world will be a sweeter place <3

free2beyou @moveablebeasts you're welcome! I have a lot of food sensitivities that I didn't have years ago & quirky auto-immune stuff that comes & goes. I am tall, thin & look much younger so I tend to be minimized by traditional docs so I've done a lot of work with holistic & functional medicine including an amazing nutritionist. I've always empathized with the "underdogs" so to speak, any marginalized group I'm cheering for & speaking up when others are in silence. Keep up the good work!
