amandahager719 @sistersalvage i didn't get my ears pierced until I was 30! and having no idea, I had it done at *Claire's*. I'm beyond lucky they didn't get horribly infected, but now I get to wear fun earrings.. so I guess it worked out!

sistersalvage @berrymeadows 1. Community shares really DO help. A community share is when you hit the share button on a listing that is not yours. You'll probably hear a chorus of people in the community say that community shares don't help nearly as much as self-shares, but that couldn't be further from the truth.

sistersalvage Our platform is such that most of the time, when you share somebody else's listing, they will then turn around and share a listing of yours too, which will increase your exposure and make a sale more likely. 🤑

sistersalvage @berrymeadows 2. Don't forget about self-shares. You can share all of the listings in your closet quicker than ever before with Bulk Listing Actions>Share to Followers found in the top right corner of your closet page. What this does is not only put your listings at the top of your followers' feeds, it also boosts it to the top of a brand catalog when the user has the filter on "Just Shared" (which it is by default in most circumstances). ♻

sistersalvage @berrymeadows 3. Posh Parties are great opportunities to get more eyeballs on your listings. Make sure to turn your push notifications on for Posh Party invitations and notifications for when a Posh Party is about to start. There are quite a few reoccurring parties you would definitely want to share your listings to, such as Everything Big Tall and Plus, Best in Tops and Sweaters, Best in Dresses and Skirts, and Everything Petite Posh Party.

sistersalvage @berrymeadows Every night from 10pm-12am Eastern time there is also a general admissions Posh Party often given a nonspecific name in which everyone is welcome to share anything. When participating in these parties I recommend sharing your listings to them multiple times so you can have your listings going to the top of the Party page more frequently. 🌟

sistersalvage @berrymeadows 4. Personal touches make a big difference in packaging. However, it is not necessary. There are some Poshers who don't send their items off with tissue paper, stickers, or thank-you cards due to environmental concerns or cost reasons, and that's completely understandable.

sistersalvage @berrymeadows But for me personally, I have found that if I take a little extra time to wrap my item(s) up in some nice tissue paper, write a thank-you card, and occasionally throw a few small candies in (I personally recommend Hi-Chews), it makes it that much more likely for the buyer to take their time to leave me a 5-star review and a Love Note, and potentially become repeat customers. 💌

sistersalvage @rebelrebel1963 No problem, I love your closet! And you're not alone, I definitely lose motivation on Poshmark sometimes, in fact the whole month of April so far has been kind of slow for me in my Poshmark closet mostly because of it.

sistersalvage @rebelrebel1963 I used to think sales would get slow in my closet because the algorithm was stacked against me or there was too much competition, but it was mostly because I would drop off for a few days or sometimes a whole week. It's harder when you also have another job outside of Poshmark to keep up on the platform.

sistersalvage @rebelrebel1963 For the most part, your success is correlated with how much effort you put in. You just have to keep community sharing, self sharing, and posting new listings. Making offers to likers and price dropping really help with sales too, though it's not required.

sistersalvage @rebelrebel1963 On the days when I feel the laziest and least motivated, I try to community and self share at the bare minimum because it takes the least amount of effort but can have a great payoff.

sistersalvage @rebelrebel1963 It's better to visit a brand you like and share a bunch of different users' listings than it is to go to one person's closet and share a bunch of their listings; you cast a wider net that way and most of the time, Posh love goes back around and your listings get shared in return, exposing your items to tens of thousands of people in the span of an hour.

sistersalvage @rebelrebel1963 So if you're feeling unmotivated, that's probably the best thing you can do for your closet in your downtime. I always put a YouTube video on in the background while I community share because it is tedious. Don't give up, just keep sharing and listing, be as active as possible on the platform, and if a particular listing is taking forever to sell, copy the listing and delete the old one so you can get more active users on it!
