Hi. I'm Allie. I graduated from college about a year ago and am still trying to figure out how to be an adult. My day job is at a university research lab where we try to improve reading comprehension in PreK-3rd graders. I mostly posh in the evenings and on the weekend. My closet is full of things I've bought and worn 1-3 times or never. I like experimenting with clothing and mixing luxury pieces with affordable finds. I'm here to empower women. Let's be friends.

allienotacat @jmcornett that's such a fun age! My favorite part of my job is going into schools and working with teachers and students. The rest of my job is mostly working with data on a computer, which isn't nearly as exciting

We don't have all of the results yet, but the study focused on comprehension monitoring and making inferences while reading and also rich vocabulary and text mapping skills. The lesson plans and reading curriculum that we developed and gave to study teachers will soon be online and free for anyone to use. Our website is larrc.ehe.osu.edu

I'm also a recent adult and don't know what to do now! 🙃 I stopped because of your username lol, my cat is named Allie with the same spelling & I named her that when I was like 12 bc I always thought it was the prettiest spelling of the name, and I found her in the alley. allienotacat @alenaco hi, nice to meet you! Thanks for sharing your story! When I was little people called me Allie Cat and I didn't like it but now that I'm older I don't care as much. I adopted a shelter cat almost a year ago and she makes me so happy. I wish I would've gotten a cat sooner

allienotacat @fashionbyrach not at all. Are you on Facebook? If so, this group has been super helpful for me: https://www.facebook.com/groups/PoshmarkAnalytics/ . The info I've gotten from the group has helped me learn how to use my time on the app more effectively. They have a 30 minute daily exercise (it takes me about an hour) that has been super effective. I will post as one of my photos here. Aside from that, I try to selectively follow and share people who like brands that I sell in my closet.

allienotacat @fashionbyrach during the week I aim for 7-10 PM (I'm in eastern time) and after 3PM on the weekends, but really whenever I can. I read once that the app is busiest around 10PM eastern, when the last party starts. I try not to do things before people on the west coast wake up

allienotacat @fashionbyrach you can share and list more than once/day, I would think of the list above as a suggested for the least you should do. You can also re-list things that have been sitting in your closet for over a month. It will probably take 3-4 days, but things could also pick up sooner. Don't get discouraged if you have a slow day or week. I've been selling for a year and a half and have weeks with no sales and weeks with 7 sales.

mbenz1977 And the best way to be an adult and truly happy is first to always be yourself, listen to the child inside you, never take yourself too seriously but take your responsibilities seriously. Finally and perhaps most importantly, never compare yourself to others or feel a need to live up to someone else's standards. Instead, be the best you that you can be and compete with yourself.
