cowgirl1944 Hi thank you for responding about offer. The reason I went with 12.00 is because I did not get a discount on shipping. niniandjb The shoe heels broke and cracked the very first time I wore them. I do plan to have them repaired. Are the shoes vintage? I am curious as to why the heels broke.

mayrab22 @niniandjb oh no!!!! That’s terrible. They were new, but yes they were an older style. However, I never expected that to happen - they were kept in a climate controlled room so not sure why they would deteriorate.

niniandjb @mayrab22 It was the black cap nailed into the heel. Not the actual heel. Hopefully will be an inexpensive repair.

mayrab22 @niniandjb I did try them on a few times and they felt sturdy… didn’t keep them bc they were just a bit too small/narrow for me. So sorry! I wouldn’t have sold them if I knew this was going to happen.

mayrab22 @niniandjb ok! That makes more sense. That has happened to me on another pair of shoes that had been sitting for quite a while in my closet. I think the plastic/glue just dries out?? The cobbler I take my shoes to charges between $7-$18 to replace those (depending on type/size). I wouldn’t pay more than $20-$25 MAX for that service, just FYI. Again, so sorry about that - if I had known they were that brittle I would have gotten them fixed prior to selling.
