shihtzumomma @totopuff never having children, I’ve had two Shih Tzu daughters. Pookie, I had from puppy to passing at 13 years. Broke my heart. 8 years later I adopted a senior Shih Tzu girl that basically needed a first ever loving home. Poor Joycee. I loved her and she was so happy and just cheered right up. Lots of health problems from years of abuse and neglect. I gave her 3 years her best life, until she passed. I just have a cat now, but will always be a Shih Tzu mamma! They are the best aren’t they?🤗🐶

totopuff @shihtzumomma I rescued a girl that I named Coco who was the absolute love of my life. At 18, she got cancer of the salivary gland and it literally broke my heart. I only have Shih Tzu children as well. As soon as she got sick, I signed up on every dog rescue I could find. (Cont.)

totopuff @shihtzumomma Part II: I was sick on New Year’s Eve and couldn’t go out with my friends and got an alert on my phone and there was this baby in a cage. I work the next morning. I held him and they asked me if I wanted him and I said of course what is his name? It was Coco. I changed it to Toto! (Cont.)

totopuff @shihtzumomma he was so sweet and let her be the alpha dog. As soon as she passed, he ruled the house! The day I got him was the anniversary of my dad‘s passing. When I got his Pedegree in from the rescue, he was born on my mother’s birthday, December 30. I am totally crazy in love with him!😘🐶

totopuff @shihtzumomma Awwwwwwww! I didn’t mean to go on and on. His owner was struck by a car and killed crossing the street. And he had a companion dog, a large Airedale Terrier mix who my guy friend rescued! Scruffy🐶❤️😘
