Mid-West Garment MWG Vintage Western Jacket

Vintage Mid-Western Garment (MWG) wool western style jacket. Well loved but there is absolutely lots of life left in this beauty! Wool outer shell, lined, tassels at the front, western motif embroidery on lapels, boxy cropped fit, made in Winnipeg Canada. MWG has been around in Winnipeg since 1928, and while they moreso make work/lifestyle wear now, they are still a Canadian classic! Tag is no longer legible but I’d say this fits like a M/L, measurements as shown. It has definitely been altered, the sleeves have been shortened (looks like a diy project, but seems to be holding well). The liner has some sweat staining, but since the outer is wool I’d recommend taking this to a dry cleaner or handwashing. Has a little clasp inside to close the jacket but no loop, but you could easily add a little something. Tassels also have some signs of wear but are still fully attached. This beautiful jacket needs some TLC, but it is so unique and fashionable that it is certainly worth it!
