Q&A -My Store header is a graphic I designed that is on tees , wallpaper , pillows etc.
I added some pics of things I design but I can't sell them here, or I would. I wish. They are printed for customers as they're ordered. But if you're interested in what else I'm up to, check my links.
I just started social media accounts for that, I've always rebelled against having it because I just don't like it - but now I need it for business, so help a girl out? ๐ซฃ

I'm somewhere I can't do anything I used to do, sooo... it just isn't home.
So I'm a hermit for now. Haven't decided which ocean I wanna be near yet. Maybe a lake. The waves are calling. You can sponsor a freak, I mean, um, help me and my felines start a new life by buying my lovely accumulated belongings. It will be easier to move next year without them.

Pet-free would be an empty, sad hell. My best friend loves cats but is allergic to them. I keep my stock separate in plastic containers.

You just lightly rub an item on a flat "stone" that looks like a tiny chalkboard, it won't show on item. Then you drop 1 drop of silver test solution on the line it leaves on the stone. If it turns a certain color, it's pure silver, another color is 92.5% (925)Sterling, the color changes slightly as the percentage of pure silver in the metal goes down. so, approximately 80% (800 silver) is usually vintage coin silver. It's almost always vintage or at least German or European, usually vtg. Fun.

When you shop flea markets, vtg shops, thrift stores, or buy box lots at auction it comes in really handy. I haven't done that in a while, but when I lived on the East Coast I did. I went hunting for treasure, lol.

@texanlady They give you a range. If you start by testing something you are positive of as 925, you have a baseline of what color you want. Some kits cost more and include a 925 or 999 tiny bar of silver to compare with. In general, Red is good. Green is bad. Dark red is even higher than Sterling Silver. Sterling is a nice red. Brass/costume/cheap plated items etc will turn gold or green. Its like if you rub a rock on sidewalk. Then drop a bit of something on it, lol Then it turns a diff color

It was kind of fun testing everything. Copper content definitely brings out green like weathered copper. Generally there won't be copper in SS, most manufacturers use other metals for the remaining 7.5% of the silver they manufacture. 92.5% pure silver plus 7.5% of ....something else that makes it a harder less dentable metal, lol. Fine silver is 99%-ish. I have some from Thailand - Kate Hill Tribe stuff. Pretty floral handmade pieces.
