Natural Shell Buckle and Belt with Bead Accents

Here is a rare find! This cowrie shell belt is quite interesting! The buckle is actually a large shell and the belt is made up of rows of small shells. Large multicolored beads are used to accent areas surrounding the round shells along the belt. The belt is secured to a heavy cotton fabric. The overall condition is great except for an area with shell loss/breakage. Please zoom in and check out all photos. The price of this item has been reduced accordingly. If used on a ribbon skirt the back of this belt will not be as noticeable as it is up-close in these photos. The buckle shell is secured with a loop of beads as well as a hook fastener.
