Vintage Nicholas Ungar Sweetheart Strapless Top

Restoration almost completed. I have reconstructed the bottom peplum out of new black velvet & added grommets for a slightly adjustable lace up corset feature down the left hand side. The bodice upper and beading are in perfect vintage condition. However in adding the lace up feature & trying it on myself I realize that I have to remove the old boning that is just barely poking out of the inner top bust seams & jabbing the wearer. This will be replaced with steel coil & I will add a velvet black tongue along with a black cord to the lace up feature to complete. We are looking at DD cup proportions on this boustier. Bust 35-37" Waist 28-30" Absolutely stunning forever piece that can be dressed down with your favorite pair of jeans or worn out just easily to a black tie event. I am actually tossing around the idea of making a full circle black lace skirt with a pink underlay that matches the beading. Iam guessing from the type of boning that was used this is circa 1960's. A very rare, old & beautiful piece.
