OTAGIRI Vintage Ceramic Stoneware Horse and Foal Pattern Mug

Vintage Otagiri ceramic stoneware mug features a sketched repeating pattern of mother and foal in motion. Drip glazed handle. "Otagiri Japan" is printed on the bottom of the mug. Perfect for a horse & coffee lover! The handled mug measures approximately 4" across (including the drip glazed handle) and 3 3/4" high. Excellent vintage condition, no chips, cracks, or crazing. Otagiri stoneware was produced and painted by hand by a group of artists hired to design and create pieces. Otagiri Manufacturing Company was an importer of Japanese stoneware and ceramics between 1958 and 1994.
