Hip is approx. 24” flat measured just below button fly. As for the lining, I think it’s just the back of the fabric, my mistake. The composition on the entire garment is cotton, bambu, and true hemp. Photo of trousers taken inside out, included in listing. Hope this helps

@micheebtown thank you very much for taking the hip measurement. I'm a true size 8 with 20" in hips and similar pants measure 21-22" max, I'm afraid 24" is too wide for me.
