blreibman1948 I loved it up there. The most beautiful place on earth. I’m n Florida now. My husband hated the cold winters. It’s not as pretty here but I do like waking up in sunshine everyday. I miss the mountains and the driving in the country.

tuesdayvanstory @blreibman1948 Yeah, I lived here like 20 years ago- brought my bf up camping a cpl summers ago and he fell in love w/ the area. We’re from LI so it’s a welcome change. Pretty crazy, tho- since the pandemic ppl from the city have flocked up here and prices are crazy. I can totally relate to yr husband tho, winters are brrrr

blreibman1948 When we moved there we bought a house on 32 North 2 miles n of new Paltz on Rocky Hill Road. We had 10 acres of empty apple orchid behind us and we owned the house and 2 acres of land. Paid $35,000. For all. It overlooked the Shaungunk Mountains. I loved it had an organic garden and bought 5 cords of wood and heated with wood. We had a fireplace and a cast iron stove that heated the house. I felt like a pioneer!!🤣 My husband was always freezing!! I liked it.

blreibman1948 He had graduated Miami university and pushed to move to Miami wound up in Ft. Lauderdale. I did have 10 glorious years hiking in the mountains upstate. The best memories. 🌼
