Inspired by military-style anoraks that kept soldiers dry in the rain, Kovalum's take on the now classic menswear piece is that of a waxed cotton kind. In fact, a lot of the Toronto brand's stock gives a nod to clothes worn at war. Their deck jacket's a personal favourite here. As for the coat in question, picture something akin to a Barbour waxed coat, only cut like an anorak and lined with a soft, warm brushed cotton. Of note are that front button flap pocket, a hood and those side-seam zippers that make it easy to get in and out of the thing.
