RARE Vintage 1950s/Early 1960s Green & Yellow Silk Wiggle Dress with Hip Drape

Gorgeous handmade silk wiggle dress from the late 1950s to early 1960s. The colors of the silk are so unique. The green is a citron, almost a neon green and the yellow is a gorgeous lemon. The bodice is a surplice and probably sits slightly off the shoulder. Fab architectural seaming front and back with a beautiful hip drape on the right side. Wiggle dress is a true statement here. Metal zipper down the center back. Fully lined. 

Signs of general wear and age. There is staining to the lining but that doesn’t affect the outside of the dress. The silk is thin and delicate. The armscyes and neckline at the shoulder have been mended and I have to say, I think the mending looks quite beautiful, it adds texture and interest. Dry cleaned and ready to wear.
