Rare, Antique Mother of Pearl Perfume/Poison/Wish Bottle

Very rare. Mother of Pearl perfume/poison, snuff bottle was used by both men and women. I have owned this for over 40 years. I have seen these with a snuff spoon attached in the lid, mine does not have one, so this was use as a perfume/poison bottle in it's time. Also they were used as genie or wish bottles, women would write a wish or petition on a piece of paper roll it up and place it in the bottle. Perhaps it was a secret love interest, the woman would write the intended name and place it in the bottle and wear, it was believed to draw the lover to you. I never had a necklace. Originally it would have had a string type. I attached an old chain which is approximately 60 years old made out of metal which measures 19 inches. The piece has been polished. There are no holes in the bottle and it can retain liquid if you wished to use it rather than display this unique piece. I have included a purple vintage cord with jump rings which is closer to the time period should someone prefer.
