Beautiful Greek mythological theme porcelain ashtray by Royal Bayreuth Bavaria. The figure of the rider with horse & chariot is done in white, off white and grey blend. The body of the ashtray is done in a matte black glaze. There is a Greek key border in black, white and grey. Often referred to as "Corinthian ware". Royal Bayreuth is recognized today, as it has been for two centuries, as Germany's finest producer of quality porcelain. Though delicate to the touch, its durability makes it last for hundreds of years. Mark on the back date this piece as early as 1902. The mark is wearing off but looking closely it is Royal Bayreuth Bavaria 1794. It measures 6.25" Wide x 6.25"Deep x 1.5"High Very good condition; no chips, no cracks, vibrant images.
