live4sonandsun Hi @christine_joy I am putting together a share group that would share our groups closets one time a week for each closet in the Posher share group. The share group gives our closets more exposure to potential purchasers. Hoping to keep the group to 10-20 Poshers so it's a do-able task. Let me know if you're interested? jen_is_lost Hey Christine, I will be honest if you do retail you will have your phone beside you 24/7 that is the worst thing! I took literally 4 hours off the other day and had over 30 questions to answer when I got home! Okay so upside it's fun you are your own boss and you really make what you want... You do have good weeks and bad weeks! Seem weeks you might only do a couple hundred dollars in sells.

jen_is_lost Just make sure you have money tucked away for a rainy day.. And the other huge thing is pay your sales taxes!! I average paying $1000 a quarter roughly sometimes more one time less.. So when pricing always figure that in!! Very important! Other than that it's what you make of it.. Me being honest, if you are a savvy shopper you do make more on the used items.. I thought last month I wanted to get away and noticed over half my income left... So I said let me sale both!

jen_is_lost One more thing stay away from China clothes. Find a good vendor who is moderately priced you don't want to have more than $20 on any item on posh I have found that out the hard way.., I have dresses that I could probably sell elsewhere and should on here at my cost plus tax and minus posh's fees just trying to recoup, that was my first lesson learned!! It's hard to find good vendors with good quality items... Go to a fashion trade show.. Get your business license and your tax I.d. Number first!

I am a very savvy shopper and have been going that route just didn't know if it was worth jumping into retail. Was curious if you get more sales ($) that way or not but I guess it all depends as you said.

christine_joy @jen_is_lost I'm in sales and work from home which is very nice but do travel for work sometimes so it may be hard then. Do you have to use the vendors provided through the retail portal? Does Posh provide you tax info needed when you request it? What is your greatest tip for getting followers and making sales? I appreciate the advice and your time very much :)

jen_is_lost Posh does not do any of the business stuff for you.. 1) obtain a business license your local court house or where you get your tags depending on your state... 2) irs.gov you have to put in your business name and get a tax ID number for taxes and payroll and income tax... Now I had to do a few more things like register with the state of Florida also you just need to check your state and local laws...also make sure you have the correct business license I have retail & online Florida requires both

jen_is_lost Vendors, I look at the wholesale portal, I am by no means knocking it, it's a good way to get your feet wet, however if you did steps 1 and 2 like, I said a post up, you can find good vendors out there., there are several fashion industry platforms you can use most are based out of LA! 90%... And you need your tax ID and business license...

jen_is_lost Oh and you will hear everybody say if I don't get 3 times what I paid for it I won't sell it.. Ha! I don't think someone wants to pay $80 for a dress I have ($46), price things reasonably I mark mine up to double my money minus posh's fees and taxes and $5 jiggle room.. Yes I might have to work a little harder but you will get many repeat customers if the quality is there! I on average sell to repeat customers two to three times a month and least 10 to 15 lime clock work..

christine_joy @foxarazzi Hi! The suit runs SO small it doesn't fit at all... it's not even close to a size Medium :( I would suggest staying in the details that it runs small. I'm 5'8 and wear a size 4 pants a small/med for almost everything and it wouldn't even stretch up over my shoulders ☹️I've never returned anything before but I would like to, I apologize.

Now that I know your height and sizing, I can make better recommendations for fitting. I hate having to Reposh, and online swimsuit shopping can be challenging. So much variation in sizing. I think your height was the issue on this suit- had we discussed fit, I could've helped more. I am 5'2" and sometimes forget the height factor!

foxarazzi @christine_joy and to answer your question, I have not shopped the portal here. I looked but was not super impressed. I buy my boutique items from various sources- some US based and some overseas. I prefer US based, but Posh buyers in general don't like to pay the higher price tag.
