poshmarkperk @katrn42 how long have you been doing this? Do you make enough for the time? Any advice is welcome. I don’t quite understand why we are deducted from our total earnings when shipping is over 5 pounds, do you adjust the price with the buyer to make up the difference

katrn42 @saradetig09 Hi Sara! I have been on Poshmark nearly 2years. I’m not doing it to make a living, just fun for me. I can buy new stuff for me or gifts with the money I make. To be honest I have never used a shipping label over the 5#. I think Poshmark does that because they have to make some money too and has to draw the line somewhere. I like not having to pay shipping on my sales!

poshmarkperk I don’t want to make a living, just earn extra cash to buy clothes with. Do things sell without doing all the promoting that posh suggested? I’m assuming condition and price are the biggest factors

katrn42 I don’t think I would adjust the price. I may counter an offer or not accept a low offer. I like this site more then any of the others! Some advice is take good pics,share often, respond to questions quickly and have fun! Poshmark has things in place to protect buyers and sellers! Great talking to you!! Happy Poshing!!😍

katrn42 It took a bit of time for my first sale. For me it goes in spurts. I started with higher prices then slowly dropped them. I don’t do much promoting just a lot of sharing. That’s how you expose your items.That’s another reason it’s set up like it is. I do participate in the Closet Clear Out that Poshmark has. You lower prices for a certain time then put them back up if you choose.

katrn42 @saradetig09 None. The only reason an item can be returned is if the seller misrepresented the item. Like selling a knockoff Coach purse as real. I did have someone try, but I won the case she was lying. Also on the shipping Poshmark makes a deal with the USPS so we can ship in certain containers for a certain price. That’s another reason for the shipping price.

fashionportal I found it easy to stay at a lower weight if I focused on getting/staying healthy not skinny. Get as strong and healthy as you can and do it for your family, not some media driven version of what we have all been feed all our lives. 😍
