A landslide of change for me: in 2011/12 I was a music teacher, also working as an assistant manager in a secondhand clothing shoppe, living as part of a family of 4 with my sister- caring for my terminally-ill father, my visually challenged mother, and traveling from east coast to Midwest to care for my 95 yr old grandma every 2 months. Now, I'm a homemaker, recovering from Lyme and caring for my mom after two family deaths + one wedding. With my income now vanished, Posh is a blessing! 💙😊

thesassyblondes @ringleader Welcome Holly! Beautiful pic. I'm in a similar situation. Was in a high paying job/career was diagnosed w/Fibromyalgia & got to where I couldn't work anymore. Several close deaths in the family & my grandmother, who raised me was the hardest hitting one b/c we were so close & it came so suddenly. A fall down her steps at home. The same steps she always told the children, grandchildren to be careful on. Mothers are so precious! You are so lucky! I hope you are recouping & doing better w/Lyme. I understand it can affect your cognitive functioning. Fibro does as well. It can be challenging. Your closet is fabulous!! If i can help pls let me know! Lynn

ringleader @Imfashion Sympathies... Yes, I read fibro can be a stress induced issue. For me, my doctor tells me Lyme can go into a number of issues- fibro, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis. So far I'm doing ok and taking Meriva Timeric vitamins that helps tremendously with the aches and pains. I hope and pray in time for a full recovery! God can do anything! 😀 thanks for writing! ringleader @Imfashion Lynn, it takes a long time to heal from grief and loss, doesn't it? The pain heals some, but the memories remain. I still miss my dad every day. I know the intense stress contributes to the health issues with my Lyme- physical and emotional. As both heal, it's a day-by-day thing. Some days are better than others. I'm so glad there's heaven to look forward to where there's no more pain and God will wipe away all tears. Blessings for your day, and I hope you have a wonderful one!

gettumgirl Wow!Wow!....and Wow!..God is not good he's great!!!!....I understand every Aspect of what you've been through but isn't it awesome to know we have a God that knows what we can and can not handle....I was in the military and my mom was in the Hospital(Lupus)..in her early 40s...not dying or anything just getting Meds...so staying over nights to get it in her system...so I was like...I know...I will use my hardship orders(orders you can only use one time for emergency in your military career)...to move in the state my mom is in...to get a place there and take care of her(I was 23)..It was if God said himself..."That's enough"...and they say ..my mom was eating and her head just went to the side...and just like that...He took her...I know in my heart God knows what we can and can Not handle...of course I did not understand that then...but I'm so glad even at such a young age I tried my best unselfishly to take care of my mom...and I know he will and has always honored that...do you know she passed in July those years ago...and because she passed without any notice...I did not grieve until one day in my English class in college 6 months later my Professor told is to pick a rock out of a paper bag...without looking at it and write a brief summary about the rock ...I can not tell you where it all came from...but it was as if my mom was right there because the summary was something like..."I am far and near and I love you...and I'm ok?!?!...you know I grieved that day...and realized I would see my mom again soon...I have never told this story...but somehow the Holy Spirit has guided me to write this for you...✨💫🌟😘

ringleader @gettumgirl Thank you for sharing your story! Sorry for the loss of your mom. It's always hard to lose a beloved parent, no matter what age we are. My dad went into the hospital only to have his meds adjusted and would be home in a few days, we were told. But, it ended up that the meds caused a domino effect which ultimately took him. We were there, but we had been told he was stabilized and would be ok when his heart just gave out. 🍃🌸🍃 Very hard to go thru, especially because we didn't get a chance to say, " goodbye." I'm so glad there's heaven to look forward to and that we will see him again. 💛💙💚

ringleader @kookc hi!! Yes, it's been a hard, hard few years. I'm still not completely thru, but I'm climbing out of the massive crater, anyway! ;) for LD, I had a specialist doctor who prescribed three high powered oral antibiotics which targeted three stages of the bacteria. I did two months, and it was such good success he suggested we really finish one more since LD was on the run. I eat healthy, lots of raw foods and veges. Also, massages and chiropractic adjustments, drinking lots of water, and Epsom salts soak baths. After the antibiotics, I waited two weeks then followed with a couple months of cinnamon leaf essential oil, which is supposedly anti viral, anti fungal, and anti bacterial... Which, again, helped me so much. I now take Turmeric with meriva, and 2 oz of Ningixa Red juice which has Grapefruit seed extract and citrus essential oils - also antibacterial properties. I very rarely have issues, now, as each day has been more progress toward the me that once was. When I do have problems, it's usually combined with emotional or physical stress and affects my short term memory or a few joint/ muscle aches, or exhaustion. Those bad days are getting fewer and far between, for which I'm extremely grateful. Do you know someone who has Lyme?

ringleader @kookc there's a lady in Canada who battled Lyme for 20 + years before she discovered the success of first the cinnamon leaf essential oil, them other successful essential oils. She's writing a book, now. I found her website just a couple months after she posted it. I'm so glad I did!!!

ringleader @kookc It's been very, very hard. I think the tremendous stress of everything I was going through made the LD so much worse!! But, if it can be used to help others who are suffering, I will consider it a winning situation. It's tough to say "worth it," because LD- it's a terrible suffering. I have developed a very big heart for those who suffer chronic pain through this, though.

nicoledelz Wow, God Bless you & ur family🙏😘 I've been thru more than I care to think of & I'm only 29 years old. By the time I was 24 every family member of mine was dead except my mom & aunt😢😢 I lost my dad in 2009.. He was accidentally killed. All I have now is my mom, aunt and in-laws. My husband is 30 & has been disabled since he was 22. He's very sick. Has diabetes, heart disease, and a blood disorder called Antiphospholipid Syndrome which causes his body to make blood clots. He's had about 35 & they destroyed his veins. He's had several in his lungs & then 3yrs ago took 2 heart attacks bc a clot formed in his heart😢😢😢 I have my own health issues & on top of all that I have a 2yr old baby boy who's my everything💙👶👪 it's nice meeting women you can relate to on here😘💖

51twenty I've been slowly going downhill again...Lyme and two co-infections positive. Aggressive treatment starts Monday including picc line. (LLD) Hopefully I will be on the mend sooner than later.☀️ How are you doing?

ringleader @kookc I'm sorry to hear that, Carolyn! I hope and pray your treatment works and holds! I'm doing ok. I still have some off days, tho not as many as before treatment, and still get stiffness in my ankles, etc. I go today to my chiro to have an adjustment. My maintenance has been cinnamon oil (some people drink cinnamon tea daily) and Ningixa Red by Young Living. Sugar really causes flare ups, so I have to be careful. When I get those, I add tumeric with meriva. I indulged in making choc chip cookies. Ate too many. Paid the price. :/ ah, well. 😊🌸💛🌸

And also some people take it too seriously and will actually call you out when you don't follow all the rules of the game so I decided to stay out of the drama. You know like you feel obligated to follow someone when you are in the game- but then again you ask yourself... do i really want to be following that person. im sure you can relate. lolll

ringleader @petalsofyouth i fully understand! I have limited my following to closets who follow rules and from the suggested user lists. (It's surprising how many SU do not keep rules!) I do like and share the games, though, and don't check them all. If their closets aren't following rules, they don't want me following them anyway. It's hard for me to sift thru what to share from newsfeed that gets junked up with things like hair dryers and curling irons. I end up in frustration mode and start reporting the items instead if sharing; and then I unfollow. It's more because I can't handle sifting through too much info, processing cognitive takes so much effort, and I end up exhausted. Best thing to do is to sift to start and choose only rule-following closets. They can follow me if they want to, but I can't necessarily follow them if they're not keeping rules. 🌸😊🌸 did you see Saundie is co hosting? Any news yet from anyone about your request?

wenrella Wow! U have been threw a lot. And your still standing. Its nice 2 meet U ✌ and again I'm deeply sorry about the duty free thing. My hubby just retired and we go out of the country almost every year. This year it was just Cancun, but the duty free CHANEL had no travel compacts. I get one every time we leave the country. They are perfect for traveling. But since my fibromyalgia has got worse, I don't think I'll be going out of the country for a while. I don't even wear make-up so much since moving to Florida. It just melts off my skin. I don't know what I was thinking. It's probably all the medication. I totally understand your feelings and hope we can start a new friendship. I promise to be careful about what I write, and questions I ask. I hope u can forgive me? ✌️

If you've been in the Caribbean, I hear from a New York doctor that a similar bacteria to Lyme can be picked up in Caribbean waters. Sorry to hear of your missing out on your yearly travels. Mom and I love to travel, too, but we haven't been lately due to finances and budget. I ALWAYS consider you a Posh friend. I'm sorry if my statement came across otherwise, I sometimes state things simply, having been a teacher for 26 years, and I know sometimes the care and kind spirit is lost in text and print. Prayers for you during the holiday season, because I realize this is a difficult time for those who have lost loved ones. I lost my father, and I still have not recovered. I miss him every day. Especially at Christmas time.

ringleader @abigailnavarro there's a group on facebook called CHRISTIAN LYME DISEASE SUPPORT. I highly recommend liking and following it. There's lots of new ideas and treatment folks try and share. I'm using essential oils and turmeric at the moment, and I'm recovering well. Hawthorn berry juice helps the heart.

ringleader @kookc I'd really encourage you to research essential oils and how they might help. I currently take one drop of thieves and two of frankincense daily on a tablespoon of honey. It's wonderful to hear your positive outlook! It's hard when battling illness, but God is faithful!

norrisamanda @ringleader I just recent purchased some boots that I'm so excited to get! I just read your story and God has a way leading you to new situations. I too have/had lymes. I have been symptom free now for an entire year! Last year at Christmas I couldn't even pick up to hold my baby. I have been blessed with the best D.O. That has been a god send. Look up rifedigital.com for a rife machine. With rifing and supplements I have been able to eradicate the spirochete from my blood. I want everyone one that has lyme to know about the rife machine. It's not for everyone but it was a miracle for me!

ringleader @norrisamanda hi Amanda! Welcome to posh, and I hope you'll love your new boots when they arrive! I had late stage lyme by the time I was diagnosed. Certainly a scary experience to have. I am doing much better, now, and am almost symptom-free. I still have some joint aches, muscle tightness, and some memory and cognitive function that isn't what it used to be. I'm daily using turmeric, vitamin d, b complex, epsom salt soaks, and frankincense and thieves essential oils. God has taken good care of me, too, with wonderful doctors. ringleader @bronte83 Thank you! It's tough to go through losses, and it takes a long time to heal. Lyme recovery is going well. I had a set back over the holidays because I indulged in sweets and goodies. Generally, though, I am on the mend as long as I behave with a good diet. I get tight muscles in my neck, arms, ankles, and bi-weekly massages help that. Essential oils have been a huge help and God-send (thieves and frankincense). Turmeric with meriva, vitamin c, b complex, and vitamin d are my daily supplements. Drink lots of water, get plenty of sunshine, eat lots of fresh fruits and veggies (juice if possible), avoid stress, and be kind to yourself. That's it in a nutshell! Prayers for your recovery! If you want your dollar then you must not need it too much." It's Ok, really, the thing is that it's just not one person. It's a lot of people. When you have brands people want but don't want to pay for, then you get bombarded.

ringleader @snokitti_31 I'm glad you liked it! If I don't have buttermilk, sometimes I'll use flavored kefir, strawberry or something compatible w chocolate. Other times I will use flavored coffee, coconut or vanilla. People will try to figure out the added mystery taste. Lol. I haven't met a man yet who doesn't like it. I like that it uses oil instead of how most cakes use shortening. That way there are healthier choices, still low fat. In a pinch I've even used a light olive oil or grapeseed oil.

ringleader @ali101love I've had my discouraging moments, too. Recently I joined a Facebook group called Poshmark Analytics that has a 30 min a day prescription for activity. Since following that for only four days, I've seen thing begin to pick up again. If you can't find the group, please let me know. I think it'll give you some answers. Also, be sure to share to parties. I do that, too. Hope that helps!

missy_1970 How are you with your Lyme? I also had and feel like it has reaked havoc on my entire body. I once was a very energetic middle-aged woman who feels like I have been taken over. I am left with no energy and my legs constantly pain me along with restless leg syndrome. Ugh!! I wish you much luck with this awful disease. When I found the tick, it had fallen into my bra after yard work and found that evening when showering. It took only a couple hours to destroy me. 😓😓

ringleader @missy_1970 I'd say I'm doing 98% better after a few years work and recovery. As long as I take care of myself, I'm ok. It's been a hard, long haul. Do you regularly soak in epsom salt hot baths? It helps reduce muscle twitching and detox. I also get regular bi-weekly massages to help reduce muscle tightness. Cinnamon in my decaf, organic coffee daily. Reduce sugar. Up vitamin C, D, take turmeric, glucosamine, apple cider vinegar.
