disappearhere @kimbojacket yeah it's fake. That seller is/was also on PM as well and tried to sell it. The description is vague, no measurements and shots are blurry, the back of it is clearly glue gunned and not done by hand before Alamo got arrested but his workers remained doing the jackets but not like before, as he had actual children piecing the beading and crystals on the jackets due to their small hands, not glue-gunned.

disappearhere @kimbojacket but there have been some real ones, I missed out on a beach barbie one for an awesome deal and it was the real deal. But it was like just listed and sold in under an hour (I had been sleeping and found the email as I get alerts for TA jackets and was so bummed that I missed it within 30 mins)! But they aren't SO rare, I'm sure I'll find one, just about timing.But I'm still bummed about missing out on the foxy one, I should have taken the plunge. I love my batman one.

disappearhere @kimbojacket there's this incredible article about him. I had no idea actually he died this year in may 2017. I read it in an article about 5 things you never knew about tony Alamo and I'm pretty sure it included that in there. He had such a cult following that they were there to do anything as he was so powerful to him. Afterwards the buttons etc all became available just like the labels, allowing others to counterfeit.

disappearhere @kimbojacket I believe it specified the children were especially perfect for the really intricate places of beading and crystals because of their tiny hands. It makes perfect sense, but just unethical. I had been advised by other collectors that ones that were sized small or so weren't real, as he did do a line for kids, but in terms of adults, I don't think the sizing starts until medium all the way to a xxx(x)L. And those should always have shoulder pads.

I like the circus one that was available a few months back and sold for around that amount maybe more? The tee shirts are great finds and a lot of people don't know about them. Yours says Israel? That's cool. I did buy an authentic barbie superstar Alamo Tee, which was an awesome find and for a great price, and I'm pretty sure it's dead stock, absolutely flawless and jeweled perfectly.

disappearhere @kimbojacket oh wow I just saw! Very cool! The easiest knock offs are of the infamous Miley Cyrus rodeo drive. I own one which is impeccable but have seen a bunch of knock offs- that's where the beading & labels etc come to play. I only own the beverly Hills and the Batman. Surprisingly enough I haven't worn the Bev Hills at all I found that wash impossible to wear w most things. But batman I rock on all occasions!

disappearhere @kimbojacket yeah I saw. The Memphis one I don't think has rhinestones either. But my barbie one I am pretty sure does. Maybe it doesn't and I'm just imagining it, I have it stashed away. Someone tries to sell the Memphis one all the time there the jacket for over $2000. It's kinda ridiculous. The ones that are super collectible are the ones that were made for an actual star, like the mike Tyson one, or any branding/character/animal/car. All the states/cities aren't as valuable IMO.

disappearhere @kimbojacket the Dolly Parton and Mike Tyson Cinderella Jackets have sold for $2000-$3000 at that time, the items were pricey. If you find a photo of the Cinderella one it's amazing, (rock band). I didn't know about TA until a year or so ago and that's when I found the pic of Miley and the jacket. And then more and more. I think the ones that sell for more $$ most are ones that are never seen, wheels is rare, & def worth more than the dozens of NYC/LA ones popping up all the time.

disappearhere @kimbojacket that's so cool. So it had to be before he got arrested! He still had professionals working for him after the incidents happened but I think after 89 it was downhill. Where replicas where made, previous workers were doing shotty pieces of work selling them as totally authentic. I try and say it's like someone buying a Chanel or Louis Vuitton, but buying a faux, as buying a Chanel symbol is just as easy to buy a bundle of TA buttons and throw on a jacket.

disappearhere @missdaisy224 hi, the bh ta jacket is most popular (imo) so it’s very important to pay attention to details- the label as that can vary as does sizing (should look for anything between an adult medium to an adult xxxl), the detail (aside from crystals he used pearls & studs) should ALWAYS come w shoulder pads & pay attention to the buttons, if they all match, how in tact they are, as they are the first thing that people will use to replicate an unauthentic jacket.

raj3 @disappearhere On one of your bra listings, I noticed that your ribs seem to protrude in a way that I’ve only ever seen with mine. I also have a connective tissue disorder, called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, type 2 (hypermobility.) That means that my ligaments, which are supposed to hold my bones together firmly, are more like really loose rubber bands, or like taffy that you see in those taffy-pulling machines.

raj3 @disappearhere I showed my ribs to my dr, and he checked them out, commenting that they were really loose and turned almost sideways, with both protruding out, one more so than the other. So I was wondering if you might have the same thing? I encourage you to at least look it up. I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 34 years of age. After 27 years of complaining of chronic & severe pain that started when I was 7!!! Anyway, I’m sorry for the long message. Take care. 💚

Yes my mom is so toxic, She is so Warped, I have just tried to use music as therapy as I relate to artists like Eminem and ax, rose when they talk about their messed up life and I know mine isn’t nearly anything like theirs but my mom is in many ways like Mischa Barton’s mom from the oc, except she isn’t a cougar. But super critical, & when the show was on my friends would always talk about how uncanny I was to Marissa cooper!

disappearhere @raj3 that was just some pop culture stuff but yeah she has my dog, I might need to bring a lawyer in cause she wants to basically take away anything that provides me w happiness. As for my ribs, they’ve always stuck out, even when I was skinny fat they stuck out if I breathed in. But w more exercise and less fat they show more, I was diagnosed w osteoporosis at a young age (26-27) & keep that under wraps but I’ve had many stress fractures because of my bones, & I’m very off balance,

Next time I end up at a doctors for a reason I’ll def get tested for stuff, I’ve heard of people cracking rib cages by sneezing mine were cracked once by a guy by mistake kind of, he didn’t intentionally try to hurt me it was just him being a guy, & underestimating his strength. I cracked another rib cage within two months reaching for something in my car, I have angel wings in the back where my ribs stick out too if I pose a certain way. It’s just the way I am.
