Tabitha Simmons striped silk oxford espadrille, EU41, EUC

If you hate showing your toes, even in the summer, this might be the pair for you. These lovely platform espadrille lace-up oxfords are just the perfect thing to wear with a long linen dress at the beach, or with cropped leggings or capris, or jeans. A little bit preppy but the slightly glow in the dark lime green & blue stripe gives them a certain extra zip. Tabitha Simmons is known for her love of subtle menswear touches in her women's shoes; in this pair, we have some hand woven tie silk in a classic stripe, with a decidedly modern colour scheme. Unfortunately for me, these fit just a little narrow and I've only worn them a couple of times, very gently, and not for long. Lengthwise they should easily accommodate a narrow size 9.5, or maybe a slightly wider size 9 foot. The platform is 1.25" at the heel, and these are almost flat. There's a very small mark on the outside of the right heel - just visible in the magnified photo. Apart from that and some light staining on the rubber sole, these shoes are in excellent, almost new condition. 9/10
