Taxco Mexico Turquoise Necklace Aztec Shield Pendant Pin Brooch Large YM Eagle 3 3” long Authentic Vintage Taxco 925 Sterling Silver Necklace with a “chimalli” or “shield” Aztec pendant pin brooch round sterling silver fave with blue stone inlay that looks turquoise, not sure but this piece is made in the 50’s and the seal is found in the Mexican silver book page 174. The item has full patina. 5 graduated dangle hanging from the top representing feathers and rope adornments around as bezel and feathers like silver. Markings: Pendant: Hecho En Mexico 925 YM eagle 3 chain and hardware (with patina) Italy 925 16” It’s made in Taxco and this pendant represents the shields that mesoamerican cultures (warriors) used on the battlefield or in ceremonies and jewelry themselves. The dangles represent the feathers used to adorne their shields. Bundle and save! It’s in very good condition except for a little hairline showed in the 4th picture.
