twilightthrift hey! so you said to reach out if i have any questions. i recently started Poshmark and posted all of the clothes i have so far that i am selling. so far, people have liked them and i got an offer to trade but no one has wanted to buy? do you have advice?

emilymariemcl @beachythriftss sure! Well first thing, trading is not allowed on the app (I’m pretty sure in the terms of service it’s banned!) so you are smart to ignore those offers.

emilymariemcl @beachythriftss Secondly, unfortunately like most selling, Poshmark is a lot of a waiting game for the right buyer to come along, in the mean time some of the best things you can do are follow more people (they’ll be inclined to follow you and check out your shop) and share items in your closet (this will push your items closer to the top of searches). If you go a few weeks and still no sales I would suggest looking at how you’re selling, are your pictures good?

emilymariemcl @beachythriftss Are your items reasonably priced? Are you getting comments about your items you haven’t answered yet? All these factors can affect how people perceive your closet. That’s some general advice I have, but I could get more specific if you have some other questions, let me know!

twilightthrift @emilymariem I can try to get a better background or lighting but thank you for the advice! yeah it’s really a waiting game which is annoying but that’s how it is. i don’t know if my items or over priced. all of the clothes and shoes have only been wore like once or twice so they are in good condition so i’d say i have good prices for the items but i don’t know what others think.

emilymariemcl @beachythriftss ictures on their phones! Obviously you don’t have to do that, but it’s always an option. I also noticed your followers, honestly I think the best thing to do as a new posher is go through and follow tons of people and share your closet, that’s how to get people to notice you
