Holly Clifford (nee LeGros, ca. 1920-
18 Dec. 2011) was the daughter of Rex and Dorothy LeGros of Blenheim, Ontario. Since the 1970s, she lived in Elora where she worked as an artist. She lived just outside of town on the Pilkington Township side of County Road 7 where she had a home and workshop from which she sold her paintings and the carved, wooden toys that she made (some with articulated limbs). She had a big sign out front that read "Holly's" the turn of the millenium, Clifford could be seen on sunny days, painting outside the stone building on the southwest corner of Mill Street and the Victoria Street bridge. She displayed her work outside the building and on its wooden deck overlooking the Grand River.
