This gorgeous vanity set is from the 1800s. The hand mirror has no defects in the quality of the reflection so it is in amazing condition for its age. The box has seen some love, and one of the little pots is missing the bottom (only lid present).

jacolynnewatson @gibriana It must have been so exciting to own this. Everything being hand made must have meant it was a very luxurious item to own and/or thoughtful gift to receive. I don't imagine this was something someone would just buy off the cuff. This would have meant so much to whomever owned it. I am sure it has such a story. 🥰

gibriana @jacolynnewatson You are right. It certainly was extravagant, still is today. Imagine how much it would cost to buy its equivalent today. It would be astronomically expensive.
