Vintage 14 Karat Yellow Gold Opal Omega Backed Clip On Earrings

This is a well made pair of vintage (circa 1975) Australian opal and 14 karat (hall marked) clip on earrings that can be worn by pierced or non-pierced ear lobes. They feature a gently convex curve of 5 marquis shaped opals with iridescent red flashes and fogs of green and blues throughout them. The pointed tips of the stones are subtly capped in gold to protect them from chipping. The omega backing close securely over the lobe while not being too tight for all day wearing comfort and they are not unduly heavy. They measure 10/16th's of an inch from top to bottom and are gorgeous. They are in excellent undamaged vintage condition.
