Meet Katherine. She is a vintage knee-length (26") skirt; complete with original hemstitching and original acrylic button closure.
Katherine is a classic (POCKETED) pencil skirt most likely from the late-40's/early '50s
MATCH Makers is a subdivision of KORET (circ. 1939), that targeted more affordable, ready-made fashion and gained popularity after WWII. The middle back zipper became popular in the '50s, but Katherine predates standardized sizing (1953). 28" waist -- US size 6/8

@sandrayeggirl thank you! I couldn't believe myself when I found this at an estate sale. it looks to be all original stitch work as well, although it's hard to say for sure.
this piece must have rocked a 1940s power suit!
