Vintage 4 piece designer suit

Beautifully made in Canada suit from Canadian designer Marilyn Brooks circa 2000. Includes top, jacket, skirt and pants. Rich burgundy colour incorporating both floral and striped patterns. Material is a cotton polyester blend. This is your chance to own a piece of history and step out looking fabulous. Lots of opportunities to mix and match the pieces, dress up or dress down, and turn heads. Top wraps around at back and ties at the front. Tag shows size small. Jacket is figure flattering with an asymmetrical hem and has beautiful buttons. Puffed shoulders inspired by look designer Stella McCartney also was using around this time. Tag shows size 10. Not lined. Skirt is 22.5 inches long and 16 inches across the waist and 21.5 inches across the hips at the front measured flat. Tags shows size 10. Not lined. Pants have inseam of 30 inches and is 14.5 inches across the waist at the front measured flat. Tags shows size 8. Not lined. There is one button missing from the two button closure at the top of the zipper as shown in the picture but this cannot be seen when worn. This suit has been gently worn and well cared for and is in excellent condition. It was purchased for about $900 over 20 years ago = $1500 in todays dollars. Given the age of the suit I am guessing it is closer to size 6 or 8 in todays size. This garment is coming from a no pet, no smoking, no scents home.
