@dusty0312 not sure as there is no fabric tag but probably some kind of polyester (although not shiny!) as it is from the 70s

@sharonmay29 good morning, sorry for the delay. The fabric itself is stretchy so there is probably at least an inch or two there, particularly in the bust. However, the waist seam makes it impossible to stretch the fabric there
