In the 80s eel skin was very popular. It looked delicate and was very soft to the touch but it turned out to be very durable. This satchel/briefcase is big enough to carry a tablet or small laptop with room to spare. In the center opening there is a large zippered compartment hanging in the middle. On either side of that are spaces that open to the bottom. Both the outer side of the front and the back have compartments with latches. The case is 17 inches across by 12 inches high. It expands to 3 inches. There a lot of places to put your phone for easy access. The case is in excellent pre-oved condition. The natural, pattern markings of the eel skin can be seen on the leather. This is an authentic vintage eel skin case. It would be a stylish statement piece carried by a woman or a man. I have 2 suitable shoulder straps. The purchaser can choose one. This case comes from a smoke and pet free home.
