Vintage | Alain Roure Silk Scarf

Nothing spells French chic more than a luxurious piece of silk in a graphic print. This vintage square silk scarf by Alain Roure, circa 50s-60s, features the Matra logo bordered by striking tones of yellow, white, mustard, blue and red squares, and machine stitched narrow seam. Size 31" x 31" In very good condition considering age, except for pin-size hole (see photo). Matra was a French conglomerate whose business activities focused primarily on automobiles, racing cars, bicycles, aeronautics and weaponry. A silk scarf maker/designer, Alain Roure is founder of a luxury jewelry house in Lyon, established in 1964 and member of the Joaillerie de France label, which is awarded to companies respecting strict specifications concerning product quality, traceability of raw materials and respect for environmental standards.
