Vintage Bonwit Teller Yellow Lambskin Leather Quilted Chain Fringe Tassel Crossbody Bag This bag is stunning, gorgeous and unique. A vintage piece most likely from the 1980s and made in Italy. Bonwit Teller was a luxury department store that operated for over a century before closing in 1990. The store was famous for dressing celebrities and was featured with Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The bag features a flap closure, diamond quilting, and a tassel detail hanging from the center of the flap. The gold chain strap is interwoven with leather, a common detail in vintage and contemporary designer bags. The leather is super soft and delicate and is the most gorgeous buttercream yellow. It’s a rare and unique piece that would definitely be a conversation piece given the history and beauty. The styling very closely resembles Chanel in its classic quilting, and craftsmanship. It can be worn crossbody or over one shoulder. Good vintage condition- there is some discolouration on the leather but mainly on the backside. A bit of corner wear on bottom but otherwise excellent. Very clean, strap is in perfect shape.
