Vintage F.W. Engels Solingen Leader Straight Razor with box

Vintage 8/9 Friedrich Wilhelm Engels Straight Razor from Solingen, Germany, circa maybe 1930's-40's, with it's original box. Both the box and razor are in great condition and were gently used. With a little bit of effort it could be ready to shave in no time! The blade itself is sharp with no chips or cracks, but could use a proper sharpening to even it out especially near the point and heel. Some scratches and marks on the blade face and tang (see photos), but they might be shallow enough to get out with a sanding if you wanted! The tang steel is also blackened for some nice contrast. The scales are also in great condition with some normal wear and tear where the blade rests, but there are no cracks, the pins are tight, and the metal caps look good apart from some missing paint in spots (see photos). Not entirely sure of the material, possibly immigration horn. I've put this in the men's category, but anyone can use a straight razor to shave; legs, etc! I much prefer them to modern cartridge razors; just takes some practice!
