Vintage Fragonard The Swing silk Tano of Madrid purse handbag Evening 50's

Beautiful vintage 1950s handbag made of black silk satin with a copy of the French painter Honore Fragonard's famous painting entitled The Swing now in The Wallace Collection in London on the front. Gold-plated, hinged, curved frame w/black enamel design. Ribbed top clasp. 3/4"-wide x 11"-long rigid satin handle. Black silk lining w/2 small interior pockets. Marked Tano of Madrid, Made in Spain. Measurements: 8" tall without handles 5 1/2" length Width stretches to about 2" Strap drop: 5" Condition notes: good shape overall, a little light wear around the edges. some marks and gold plating declaration on the gold trim. Some wear and very light staining on outside on the black satin and interior lining. Condition is otherwise good. comes with a small inside pocket mirror that has some damage.
