Vintage Handcarved Bone Necklace, Unisex Necklace

The pendant and tube beads are carved out of cow bone, polished and batiked. The pendant features a tribal mask. The tube beads have a mud cloth print. First, the dangle is hand carved from cow bone to the desired shape and size. Then, the print is drawn, and wax is applied to the parts that are not to get the dye. It is then dipped in the dye, and after it has dried, the wax is removed to get the batik print. This necklace closes with a metal clasp.
