Vintage Hermes carre silk 90cm scarf Daïmyo Princes Du Soleil Levant black/gold

The Daimyo were powerful territorial lords and therefore the Princes of the Rising Sun in feudal Japan. This carre pays homage to the Princes of Japan, Princes of the Rising Sun Incredibly detailed Samurai swords, cranes, and the gingko leaf are all symbols of Japan and are so beautifully displayed in Madame Faconnet’s scarf. The silk is gingko leaf jacquard for an extra layer of richness. This colour way is simply stark black, gold and silver. A stunningly rich combination. The dual French / English tag dates this scarf to the 1990s, it was purchased at Holt Refrew luxury boutique in Vancouver, Canada. This is a 90cm x 90cm 100% silk Carre scarf and is in near perfect condition with tag intact and plump hems. Absolutely no pulled threads or snags. 9.5 out of 10 - only because I know it was worn after purchase but unworn in at least the past 20 years.
